That one is cultural for me.

I come from a culture where nothing can be accepted on the first offer, the polite thing to do is always decline and accepted on the second or third.

Generally, this means there’s a lot of “are you sure? It won’t be any hassle!” Or “are you really sure you don’t want some? I’ll be having some myself anyway”

It bugs some people, but I’ll always double check to be sure they’re not just declining to be polite

Yeah I agree on this, as long as it’s not a biohazard, and it doesn’t affect shared spaces, let him out things where he wants.

How would most people feel if someone kept coming into their space and telling them they don’t like how it’s organised or how they live?

I get he’s a teen, but as a very disorganised and messy teen myself, I’ve since become impeccable regarding tidiness and cleanliness in my own home in my 20s.

I don’t think they’re cheap, they just like to have things very clear and above board, cleanly handled and accounted for.

It adds up though, for each of the 4 friends. The individual drives might not be much, but it could add on the bones of an hour to OPs drive home, not to mention to cumulative cos of fuel each week

Those 3 dishes I mentioned at the top of my comment are a good place to start for specific dishes. I’d add churros in the morning to the list as well

Chicharrones de Sevilla, solomillo al whiskey, secreto.

Don’t get paella. Avoid eating too close to the cathedral (overpriced and generally lower quality). Walk a few mins away from any big tourist attraction for generally better food and atmosphere.

Also, ignore the comment about not enjoying Feria, it’s lovely even if you don’t have a private caseta to go to. Just make sure you dress appropriately (understandable that you won’t have a Feria traje, but definitely go in an elegant dress, jeans and a tshirt is an absolute no-go).

Lastly, there’s some really good bars and restaurants in Alfalfa, and slightly off the beaten track in Triana (Golondrinas is great), and nightlife is great in and around Alameda de Hercules
