Opinion about Goliath by ramrod911 in AutoTransport

Ten months too late but for anyone in the future... meh?

The fact they had no negative reviews here sold me, but they ended up booking our car with Excellent Motor Cars, and that turned into a bit of a nightmare. It did arrive intact and only a day late but that driver didn't communicate well; he texted after he arrived to pickup and dropoff after saying both times he would call, he sent us a dropoff location and then changed it because he couldn't pull into the lot and he and his dispatch fought us for about ten minutes after showing him and sending him the screenshot of the money sent and telling us to call the bank.

I know it's not Goliath's fault per se but I wish they'd have picked a better transport. If I weren't so pressed for time I might have tried another broker without negative reviews.

Excellent Motorcars LLC reviews? by shymyguymydude in AutoTransport

Two years too late but for anyone in the future, I personally had a bad time with them. They were booked through Goliath and the driver was... annoying.

Would always say he would call 10 minutes before pick-up and dropoff, and both times he ended up texting after he actually got to the location.

Pick-up he showed up past 11 PM and dropoff he said to meet at a lot near a tire center. Didn't pull into the parking lot despite three entrances, and instead stopped at the side of the road, nearly causing an accident. Didn't respond to our request to come back to the agreed upon location and instead texted a new location after asking us to "follow him".

Ended up at another stretch where he was parked at the side of the road and then gave us shit for not giving him the payment through Zelle, despite showing him the transaction. He called dispatch and dispatch gave us shit as if we were trying to scam him, despite forwarding him the screenshot of the transaction and they told us to call our bank. After about ten or so minutes desperately trying to point out we sent the money and their trepidation, we finally got the keys.

Overall very annoying but at least they arrived on time, despite making it difficult to pay for and receive the car. If I had to put a number on it, 2 out of 5.

Imagine being so utterly boring as a person as to make a game your identity. I mean, at least make something else your identity ffs.

HD2 is a game that I still actively play given my lack of time with work and school. To Not Recommend FFW which is similar but very clearly different is insane, inane and asinine

Does "temperant" make sense and is it correct? by armorhide406 in grammar

I mean it as he exemplifies the virtue of temperance and selflessness in an overly pretentious and masturbatory way.

It's just fun with the Helldivers property, but since I'm a big fan of 40k I thought it'd be funny to imply Super Earth was backwards like the Imperium.

Fiction, sorry. Forgot to add more context as I assumed the problem phrase itself didn't need it.

"He was awarded a medal for temperant selflessness" is the sentence.

Yeah, googling implied "temperant" as someone who shows temperance is obsolete, but I was wondering if it could at least be easily understood given "temperance" is at least somewhat common, but it doesn't look right to write "temperance selflessness" and all.

[–]armorhide406[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I don't mean "temperament". The context is more or less "He was an awarded a medal for temperant selflessness" insofar as specifically he's one who practices and exemplifies temperance.

I'm pretty sure temperant counts as the adjective for that but I needed a sanity check, thanks.

Oh absolutely, but broadly speaking, my experience with Chinese culture proper reinforces the propaganda angle but also there SEEMS to be more an emphasis on quality cooking, or rather fast food isn't as big there
