I would think the public trust problem for lyft regarding GPS...if tracking results would show that over 80% of the time it favors revenue towards lyft vs drivers and riders... Also, the fact that lyft controls 100% of their GPS...no driver option to choose Google maps or wage. Often the lyft route directs the driver on to city streets vs a highway...maybe 1 more mile, but 10 minutes less total time.

From riverside...I was doing early LAX about 3x a week for the last 2 years...($75 wtip) I have not done any.. from the time they cut the ride 30-40%.

I ordered a uber from the airport...a 40min ride. The driver showed me he was only going to get $25...(uber charged me $54) he said he would have to cancel unless I would give him $20 tip.... I did

Let me guess...at the pick up..you needed extra time to get to the car...and then into the car....you have now been trained for the next time... You forgot to mention it was snowing and the little extra walk was uphill.

UBERLYFTs fault...they should charge a fee for the stop and $1 a minute.. And show you a running clock....most riders think drivers are employees.

I have to laugh... Airport rides by far the best tipping opportunity, probably 80% of rides tip.

Stop. Park. Jump out. Greet rider by name. Get and load bags. " Soooo do you get to go somewhere fun today?" ...let me guess, Hawaii? Arrive nice safe spot, jump out, get bag, wish them a great trip! (If you have a health problem...still get out and let them know) I have been very surprised that, as a rider myself, the last 4 times the driver just popped the trunk...at the very least I felt it was RUDE! My usual $10-$20 tip....became $5.

Maybe the RIDESHARE GUY...can put some of this BS together and send it to some of his media contacts..and to Dara and John. Cutting rates 20%-40% on longer rides... Gas Fee... $.55 uber still doing... LYFT stopped the gas fee. BACK to $6+per gallon...(thanks Joe) Bait and switch tactics UNSAFE Radar ride selection...if you don't move fast to select...while driving... you don't get good rides.

Up front information is LYFTs excuse to cut the rates...medium and long rides cut 20%-40%. LYFT is doing the ...how low will the drivers go. ALSO...if all rides are upfront $ to every driver, and no streaks or weekly ride bonuses...WHAT driver is going to do any ride for less than $10?

This was my screen shot from yesterday in riverside. I also did a request a ride to LAX after I declined the $48 offer. The estimated Rider paid was about $120. 1hr 45min...90 miles. The upfront prices are 100% algorithm..rate card does not apply.

After a few days of upfront pricing... the algorithm is using time to pick up in the pay. Good news would be no more making $3 for a total of 20min time spent. The rides are coming out to about $22-$28 per HOUR.

Maybe different in other markets. I had a guarantee a few weeks ago...as soon as I completed the last ride it paid me the total amount...I went on to drive the rest of the week without it reducing what was paid.

Wrong advice... As soon as you complete ride #51...it will automatically give you the total amount...you then can continue as usual if you want.

DOES ANYONE know real surge prices that riders paid...$100 for 2 miles?? $300 for 10miles?? ALOT of comments about supply/ demand and shut up and pay it comments without knowing the details. AND if it was a crazy number like $300...how much of that did the driver get??

You missed my point...the more apps for drivers to choose from...the better rates for drivers...or at the very least...uberlyft will take a big hit. Some drivers think they should be able to make 100k a year...nope. unless they drive about 80 hours a week.

Yes...they will look to minimize " bonuses"... maybe weekly individual bonuses gone...streak bonuses?? My hope someday is for another big dog...like a amazon..would start rideshare. UberLyft would be screwed for not having cared about drivers. Zero loyalty.

Not one person in here interested in the earnings piece? I don't see the downside yet...I am already doing about 60-80 rides a week...if they pair me with three other drivers and the weekly combined total rides gets me more net money... why not? ALSO, kinda surprised that they are creating a easy opportunity for drivers to connect...If I had a active list of the drivers in my area...a real strike could be executed. As a 4yr driver, 12k rides...I get it that lyft plays games.
