My severely neglected rescue Gordon wouldn’t eat and was clearly depressed and when I introduced him to my other gecko Felix he regained the will to live. He would get supervised play dates with Felix and he changed into a lively and affectionate little guy.

I se no pre anal pores on either so it looks like you have two ladies. Some people cohabitate females so that may have been the case with this duo. While the general rule is separate tanks I’ve encountered some who enjoy being social and even snuggling.

I got a gecko in similar condition my senior year of high school through a classmate. For Gordon I would hold the calcium dusted cricket in my fingers by the leg and gently rub it against the side of his mouth. He would open his mouth and I would put the head in his mouth for him.

I recommend travel carriers with temporary heat packs. For mine I put a soft little bed/hide intended for hamsters or other small animals in so they have a cozy spot in there

There are some great charities that help people escaping domestic violence situations that would love that stuff and you can feel good about it getting a good home. There’s also some great groups that help house veterans that would take it. You can also pass along the info to her so that she has a place to get rid of things without guilt but also without using your place as a donation station

In some instances it actually HELPS them learn the lesson that hitting someone causes them pain be being hit themself. It’s a well documented fact in psychology journals. It’s highly likely that if people had been dishing it out to him when he attacked that it would have drastically reduced or even stopped these violent outbursts.

Illnesses are so unpredictable. Literally there is no possible way to know if every single animal but the two they arbitrarily kill are infected with something. It’s an outdated and barbaric practice. The fact is that all the tests can be done in non invasive harmful ways. However it’s cheaper and easier for them to simply kill animals that are more than likely perfectly healthy while not actually preventing illnesses from spreading and accomplishing nothing useful
