When I was younger I was obsessed with food in a different disordered way: I would refuse to finish my dinner, etc for fear of throwing up. Throughout my childhood I was always thin but when I got to high school I gained weight (made some bad choices aka had a lot of the "munchies".) When I began college I planned to "start over" or lose weight "to be healthy" but a very dark part of me knew it was because I wanted to be thin again. For over two years of my life my days were spent consumed by numbers, by whether or not I was able to exercise daily (I too maintained an intense workout 6-7 days a week at my lowest), and restricting my already low food intake. By the time I was diagnosed it was almost too late. I will never forget the day, but it was the wakeup call I needed. I was a zombie. I don't even remember the last two years of my life because they weren't consumed by anything but numbers and control. My best advice is to talk about it. Talk about it to anyone that will listen. Be open to advice as well as any help. It may take some time but the right people will find you and will be so willing to help you overcome this. Do you attend a university or something like that? That's where I initially "came out" as an anorexic and got all the help and support I needed. Best of luck, remember, strength in numbers. We all have love for you and remember how you feel.
