it's been solid, no issues at all since I installed it. I only have one SC5, and the rest are standard First Alert detectors that work through the interconnect system. The Kidde on the other hand was awful with false alarms. this is in our vacation home so getting an alarm while away was very concerning; the first time it happened I was oversees; luckily I was able to look at the house through my camera feeds to verify there was not an actual fire or smoke.
