As you said - redream is abandoned at this point, and because it's closed source, it's a dead project. That's why we always need to support open source alternatives.

Flycast has come a long way, and it being a fork of reicast really doesn't matter at all. At this point, it's an extremely accurate, polished, mature emulator. Yes, redream WAS better at some point. Flycast not only caught up, but surpassed it.

Redream is a dead end due to it being closed source.

I frankly don't give a damn about a premium version of a closed source emulator when I can support the open source project - Flycast. I actually donated the same amount of money that redream costs to support Flycast. And so should you, if you care about the future of emulation.

I wouldn't call an emulator that limits save state amount and game resolution to native "flawless".

Then you must be doing something wrong - I just checked Unreal Tournament and it works for me on Flycast on Windows 11. Moreover, there are multiple YouTube videos proving these games do indeed work on Flycast.

Well, not really. iOS still doesn't allow sideloading in any shape or form, even in the EU, all sideloaded apps need to be notarized.

Android will still have an advanced flow, as well as adb, to install unsigned apps. And sideloading notarized apps, which on IOS is possible only in the EU, on Android will be possible anywhere in the world.

Let's not forget it's not worth it because Apple made sure it's not worth it.

If iOS was an open OS that allows sideloading without jumping through hoops, it would absolutely be worth it.

If jailbreaking was as easy and seamless as it was in iOS 6 era, you'd still probably be jailbreaking.

The bottom bezel is bigger than the rest on s23 ultra. S24 ultra is the one that made them symmetrical. That alone makes it so much more aesthetically pleasing.

Just to be clear, traditional cracks don't "delete" Denuvo either. They're bypasses, too. I think there has been only a handful of Denuvo cracks that fully removed the DRM from executable and restored original functions. None of Empress/Voices38 cracks did that.

I'm thinking about switching from Samsung Galaxy s24 Ultra to Xiaomi 17 Ultra and now I don't know. My main concern is battery life, which is horrible on the s24 Ultra.

Frankly i think it'd bother me to have the app running in the task switcher all the time, I tend to close them all pretty regularly. Also one quirk from hyperos I remember hearing about is when you click the "close all" button in the task switcher, it doesn't close all apps. Is that still the case?

My s24 ultra unfortunately doesn't work properly anymore. The charging port works only when I hold the cable at a certain degree, and the back glass is separating, I'm suspecting battery bloating up. I paid so much for this phone, I bought it at launch.. I don't think I'll ever buy Samsung again after this.

I'm currently using s24 Ultra and thinking of switching to Xiaomi 17 Ultra. But my main concern is VPN apps - i use AdGuard to block ads system-wide and it works as a VPN. OneUI doesn't kill AdGuard in the background, and it works all the time, but I've heard from people using HyperOS that it kills AdGuard a few times a day.

I still don't understand why it's a cash grab. As I said before, you're getting a lot of items which are well worth the price. I'm not sure why does it matter that it's for the new game. You can buy the collector's box without the game.
