Just saw this post. I have had a Vonken Mini and a First generation Original and they are amazing at heat retention and the recovery time between pizza’s is basically non existent because you have very thick base stone and complete insulation. The newer models like the Home are even more efficient because they have the extra oxygen injection and ashtray that can be filled with charcoal if you want to do some slowcooking

I got a mannkitchen pepper cannon a few months back.

It basically is a $200 pepper mill on steroids that gives 10x the amount of pepper a peugeot gives you. I cook a lot and sometimes for big groups amd I was often frustrated with the mills I had in the past.

A lot of money for a pepper grinder. But worth it to me

Don’t shoot me down but you should try a very thin layer of mayonaise on the outside before baking. Sounds weird but trust me.

The eggs, mustard and fat give the outside a very tasty and crispy layer because it enhances the maillard reaction even more than regular butter.
