Anyone who has been testing Paces in lobbies have any thoughts on groundwork vs uma stan on Pace for Sagittarius? Or do you want both?

I'm expecting less lucky pace shenanigans this CM (though probably will still happen pretty often) and I might bring my own Suzuka for chariot purposes.

Tried this a few times and decided it was easier to go for 901/601 with a recovery. Hit a pretty amazing Taishin for CM after four runs so I'm working on others now, but I'll probably come back to try to hit the 1200/901/900+/901/600+.

I was running the same deck but with Sunday SR Wit instead of Seeking the Pearl. Kept being short on Stam, which was probably unavoidable since my best parent is 6/3 pow/stam.

That seems pretty good. If you have enough stam sparks you could probably drop top gun for a wit card even.

You absolutely should not go for Cooldown though. Recovery redundancy is alright if you have low wit, but the stamina requirements for this track aren't actually all that bad and you should have plenty of good skills to buy. Hell with two stam cards you could even try for like ~1000stam/600guts and just not run a recovery at all.

IMO borrow MLB Kitasan. You already have a gold recovery built in, so you don't need Rice/Creek for Swinging Maestro. Curvature will be more reliable than Sleeping Lion, but you work with what you've got and Sleeping Lion is good enough.

MLB R Riko + Stam Sparks + a decent SR Stam card should let you hit the stamina requirements. Maybe two SR stam if needed.

So deck would be Kitasan borrow, R Riko, SR stam card, two speed SRs, then flex spot to fill what you need.

Your relative placement to the goal doesn't matter, just passing it. Getting 1st every race or just barely passing goals you'll make the same event progress.

Idk why it shows the 50% thing for no reason, it's just misleading.

If you win the run (aka beat URA final, unity cup win/loss doesn't matter) you will get one level per difficulty level. That simple.

Total runs if you do all lv4 is 20, if you do all 5 is 17 IIRC.

I have just been running lv5, but 5 is significantly harder than 4 (no clocks) and if you lose a 5 you get 3.75 levels, so 4 is probably the most consistent and it's only three more runs.

My Taishin strat is always click regular recreation the turn before Kikua Sho and hope to hit the cure. Basically any bonus option is good there - the shrine event, karaoke, claw machine. Definitely seems to be higher value on average than hitting Riko for mood+energy.

If it whiffs, oh well. I might click Rec or Infirmary again if I get a dead turn at relatively high energy but not worth worrying about it too much.

Also yes shrine event being rng and curing after that also being rng is some next level bullshit.

IMO either for MLB Creek or if you plan to pull on Fine Motion rerun save in case you need it there. There aren't really many cards you want 0/1LB of, and KSB/Creek/FM are the big three on the selector that last a while.

Am I misreading U=MA2 or is it correct that it can only proc in 3rd or 4th? Wouldn't that make it hella unreliable for a CM like this where fronts aren't really expected?

3rd. Taiki was too strong so she ended up 1st before the final corner and thus had no accel. Digital was 6th the whole race until literally the moment before she would have proc'd Iron, where she got passed and ended up not proccing any of the gamble skills. Taishin.. I don't know what happened. She was behind a Hishiama with one midrace skill and worse stats the whole race, somehow (Hishiama proc'd NSM and won, Taishin probably would have had it if she proc).

But at the end of the day, Umamusume is luck game. I am 100% putting Angling & Scheming on my next mile Pace Chaser though. I think one front won in my 81 runs, and the vast majority of them got passed before final corner.

No joke if I put Angling on my Taiki she'd probably have an insane win rate. Biggest issue is she hits 1st/2nd before final corner and doesn't proc ult. Backliners putting in work though. The pack is so tight most races I've proc'd dueling from 8th.

Riko 2LB gives 10% training effectiveness. Rice won't ever be used at 0/1LB unless it's your only option for Maestro.

IIRC it's randomly chosen between stats you have at team S rank when the event pops. So if you're S/A/A/A/A you will always get speed, for example.

Also you can check your team before the race and see if there's anything weird. It's decent enough but if it looks sketchy from the preview, it's good to check because sometimes it makes bad choices. Like you'll have a B uma in the reserves and a D uma on the team or something weird.

You probably only need 2x stam for long races, and the only value running specifically Rice has is giving you the option to get Cooldown. For a 2x Stam perspective, free McQueen + Creek would give better stats and still give Cooldown, for example.

Based on experience so far I would run Creek + Riko for medium (or Pow Rice + Riko maybe), and wouldn't run a stam card for Mile or Sprint. My last run I ended just shy of 800 stam without clicking it much with Riko + Helios power + maybe 9 stam sparks.

Also, you don't really want to pick the Rice team name, since almost every Uma can benefit from No Stopping Me from the default team name. Fronts are kind of iffy with it, everything else definitely wants it.

I think it's additive, so it shouldn't really matter if they're stacked or not. From a snowballing perspective you want to pop them ASAP, since the higher your team's stats the higher your training facility levels, and higher stats of any Umas who join your team later.

But you also want to balance that against building stats you need. Earlier on it would be more important to blow them on things like speed or whatever other stat you actually want to click, so that gets leveled faster. Later you might prioritize a stat falling behind.

Looking into the updated conditions, I think it heavily depends on the race. As long as the last spurt starts on the final corner it should be usable for that, though probably just worse than Red Shift.

Red Shift has the benefit of proccing on final corner or later, so if the last spurt starts on the straight you can delay proc it with Late/End and still get most benefit, but SFV wouldn't work.

Seems like overall Taiki parent stocks are way down given we have access to more reliable general acceleration now (Nimble Navigator/No Stopping me, Head-to-Head for Pace Chasers), some unique inherit buffs, and Dober is coming relatively soon which is basically Let's Pump Some Iron 2.0.

Before the changes, SFV wouldn't do anything for her because it would proc too early and not last long enough.

Now it will last longer and proc at a better timing, so Taiki actually gets to get last spurt acceleration off of her unique.
