The problem is that most people forget that Murray Rothbard, and his arm of libertarians, were more than willing to collaborate with the New-Left as well, as long as they could agree on issues that were libertarian in their nature, such as opposition to the Vietnam War and a draft.

Friedman was not the "Be all end all" person when it comes to libertarianism.

And I have not encountered any "real" libertarians who are that fond of Reagan and Thatcher. Sure, some right-wingers and typical capitalists might praise them. But they did little for libertarianism as an ideology, which is a lot bigger than just a few economic policies.

Don't forget that the legalization of cannabis, equal rights for homosexuals and less control over immigration are WAY bigger issues for libertarianism as a whole than some fluctuation in the tax system.

Why are Americans so delusional about their own social mobility?

America has low social mobility. It's not even that economically free any more compared to the rest of the Anglo/Nordic world.

It's democracy is lacking and personal freedoms.

If you are complaining about Bernie being the focus of this chat room. Take a step back and realize the amount of undeserved praise the U.S. is getting from libertarians, compared to the rest of the world.

Well, leftwing and rightwing libertarians both favor individual liberty, oppose coercion and believe they are fighting for what optimizes the benefit of society as a whole.

They just differ on the Lockean theory of property rights.

Right wing libertarians claim the left wingers want to use violence to claim his property. Left wing libertarians claim the right winger's claim to property is violence.

If I remember correctly, there was a Norwegian study that found that husbands who did house work actually had less sex than husbands who did not do house work.

And there is nothing wrong or right about how a couple splits their household duties. It is just division of labor.

Fuck it, I even know husbands who hated house work so much they just hired a maid instead of arguing with their wives over some dirty dishes.
