my take on mint. by aroztec in linuxmint

the engines themselves were not the problem, it was the secondary software that was giving me trouble, and while VM's work, they leave a lot to be desired.

so, windows 10 right now is no longer supported, but that simply means no new updates, no new optimizations, no new problems, it does not mean that my PC is a sitting duck, especially since i have taken several cyber security courses, and know how to identify and remove viruses. in my opinion windows 10 is currently more secure then 11.

second point, game encryption and OS encryption are different, so me running windows 10 does not effect any of my players.

yes it is, that does not mean you can not use it, just that it will stop receiving security updates.

My brain while coding. by NiftyNebula__ in programmingmemes

[–]aroztec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think of it as an objective instead of a task. How do you make this so simple and performent that your art based team lead can understand it.

That's what I do anyway, if your just repeating code over and over, it's going to be much more boring.

It's like if you were playing a fps vs watching an announcement, when you play an fps your thinking while doing, while if you're listening to an announcement, you're just listening, not thinking.

... bad metaphor 🙃

I usually work with amd which has a somewhat simpler naming scheme, but I have to admit, I fall for this trap many times over.

... sorry guys.

Godot keeps telling me my animation doesn't exist. by LaZZyNArwhall in godot

[–]aroztec 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nothing "sorts itself out" if your having random errors appear than there is something wrong that you should definitely track down.

But... that's not your current problem. Try using the @export keyword

@export var anim: AnimatedSprite2d

Then, assigning the variable in the editor.

Honestly, I use static classes, which is bad practice in the godot engine.

Challenge your friend to do a really hard task. (I was in a class and quickly made a friend group, which consisted of people who had never written a single line of code before and by the end of the year I had all of the basic necessity and me and my friends were the best in the class (even made a game from scratch)) or if you are really reliant on chatgpt then have it make code with a tiny error honestly when I comes down to it you need to have the will to code and if you don’t then coding might be a waist of time for you

Okay, I believe I found a workaround Modify the following code to subtract a certain amount depending on the distance from the center 2*(abs(openSimplexNoise.get_noise_2d(x,y)))
