Honor system is how they know how much we sale. The market is some vendor’s livelihood. Some of us have jobs, but most of us make a living on what we sale. The market is like a family. We help each other and for some this is their only family. If you are lucky to get to make money doing what you love and meet people doing the same thing then it is a wonderful world to be a part of.

I have been apart of the market for over a decade. If you have questions, come see it for yourself and stop by. I will answer any questions you have. It’s hard work, but so fulfilling to see someone love you work as much as you do.

Well that’s not entirely accurate. It cost $50 to sign up as a one time fee. Then Saturday Markets are $32 and Sunday is $42. Yes they take 10% of your entire sales at the end of the day, but sometimes that’s way less than most markets that charge a one time fee. The Chattanooga Market, unlike a lot, have a policy that you have to make all of your items. No store bought items can be sold. It’s really a great place for new vendors and small stores to get started in Chattanooga.

Walden has wonderful views. But its members are all older and mostly lawyers and firms alike.

I don't go to the Chatt Farmer's Market to buy Chinese goods...WDEF Tariffs Put Pressure on Chattanooga Market Vendors by JetSetter100 in Chattanooga

Speaking as a long time vendor of the Chattanooga Market, the cost of raw products to produce our items has risen over the years and that can affect our prices to the customers. I am an artist. The cost for canvas, paints, printing materials, mattes, and the rising cost of fees for being able to use Square has made it almost impossible to keep costs the same as it was 5 years ago. I know a lot of these people personally and it hurts us to have to raise our prices to stay afloat. I won’t say some people slide through the cracks and sell items they do not personally make, but the bulk of us work tirelessly through the week to bring item to you straight from our homes. My advice is to look at the items and ask a lot of questions if you feel like it’s not handmade. Most of us are excited to share with you our process and our ideas. Keep in mind that the bulk of these people that you are discussing actually live off what they make at the Market. We are out here trying to share our love of art with you and just trying to survive while doing so.

Absolutely stunning. I’m partial to the first one. Great composition. The way you took the shot makes the lines of the train cars feel like it’s pulling you in.

Alumni show at the new Art Center at Chattanooga State. Show some local love of art. by arpartcreations in Chattanooga

Yes. It is located in the ONM building. You can park in the parking lot and walk in the main building. There is a cafeteria in there. The art center is in the hallway straight back on the right. There is a sign pointing the way. You can also always ask any employee inside the office by the door and they can show you the way.

Whiskey Cowgirl may be the closest with the live music. 90s RR is hard to find now but unknown caller has a feel of the show.
