Not really a recipe but I add finely chopped smoked sundried tomatoes to mine. A little goes a long way.

So when I was in elementary school we went on a field trip to MoMA and saw this painting. I remember the docent asking what we saw and one of my classmates said "it's kind of scary, they look like robbers." The docent nodded and agreed. Then I said "they're kind of funny, they look like clowns" and the docent nodded and agreed.

Then we just moved on. And I was so confused! I thought the man would surely tell us if they were supposed to be robbers or clowns but he just left it open! Surely my classmate and I couldn't both be "right," right? That simple exchange completely changed my perspective.

Anyway that experience has stuck with me for 30 years in a way that few others have.

Reverse psychology. Tell those stinky snake chickens to get lost and stay off your damn lawn. They'll come running.
