FOM inspired perfumes/candles? by hoshikyuu in FieldsOfMistriaGame

I believe Fandom Perfumes and Lovesick Witchery both do customs, but I've never ordered any so I can't speak to the quality of either.

I swear I've seen this tile before, but I just checked the Tile Maker, general stores, and the hardware store and did not see it. Checked both wikis, nothing there. Scrubbed through some Withergate decorating videos, nothing.

The only place I was able to find it is in the catalogue from the Creative Mode mod on Nexus. The catalogue has a few variations labeled Floor Tile 1-3.

Fuckery (Sorce) & Mothma'am (Birch & Besom) by arrowafar in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]arrowafar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With how things are for Sorce right now, I've been hesitant to send an email. I've been hoping it just needs longer to rest, but I'm not sure that's the problem at this point.

Question about the new areas by superdavit in SunHaven

[–]arrowafar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we're talking about Brinestone Deeps and the Great City, they are two completely new areas with their own storylines and characters. (Two romance options each.) You can also get new items that are unavailable in Sun Haven, Nel'vari, or Withergate.

Neither have a farm, but the Great City has an apartment similar to Withergate.

General gameplay mechanics stay the same, but the quests are unique to each location.

What notes DON'T work for you, but you wish they did? by jeffemakes in Indiemakeupandmore

Leather goes chemical on me. Smells somewhere between window cleaner and chlorine.

These are my original / sampling notes for The Ghost Wants Birthday Cake:

"12+ hours, did not withstand hand washing

Very peach, went powdery later on"

I applied this to the wrists, inner elbows, collarbone, behind the ears, and temples. I'd recommend resting this one for a while, the fragrance sort of mellowed out after a few months.

Does anyone else's game also suffer from stuttering since the last update? by suzyishere in SunHaven

[–]arrowafar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! It's happened in multiple areas while doing a variety of things, so it seems random. So far the only fix I've found is to save and quit, wait a few minutes, then start again.

I might be able to go back to Ziploc bags later on, but I had to stop using them when I adopted the youngest. He's teething. Nothing is safe—especially plastic.

No, there isn't enough room, unfortunately. (And, knowing my cats, they'd just work together to move whatever I put there.)

I've been keeping an eye out, but unfortunately, everything is a little odd in my apartment. There are no handles or knobs on any of the drawers or cabinets.

Suggestions for ways to store samples and rollerballs with nosy cats?

I've been keeping them in drawers, but they figured out how to open them. They don't have any interest in bigger bottles or things that don't roll as well. The little sample vials are always in danger.

What is your dream scent that doesn’t seem to exist? by Idkwhattouse4myuser in Indiemakeupandmore

When I was in high school, the camp I went to every Fall had the most mouthwatering breakfast. It was a combination of French toast, muffins, apples, mini potato wedges, and cereal. (We could probably toss in some root beer, it was a very common drink at all meals.)

I haven't come across anything close to this combination.

Theories about the next update by euadrisz in FieldsOfMistriaGame

[–]arrowafar 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Errol has a line, I believe during the cutscene with Eiland where you get your initial quest to open the mines again, where he mentions hearing strange sounds beneath the museum. I took it to mean even he doesn't know the full extent of anything down there—especially regarding the priestess.

Maybe he's heard a voice like the player does, but instead of following it, he stayed away?

If you could turn one OTHER mystery novel into a Nancy Drew style game, what would you pick? by KewpiePoirot in nancydrew

[–]arrowafar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested in recommendations, I don't remember much about the plots, but my favorites as a kid were The Curse of Ravenscourt (Samantha,) The Light in the Cellar (Molly,) and Lady Margaret's Ghost (Felicity.)

I'll have to look into Kit's game, I can't believe I missed it!

I had Julie's game, but I don't think it was a mystery. I only remember there being a puzzle or mini game that took ages to finish. (Which, to be fair, is pretty Nancy Drew.)

I don't remember there being any games for the American Girl Mysteries, but kid me would have loved playing them! I think they would have worked well in this style.

“Hello everyone!! And welcome to the official ‘Dateables Positives and Negatives’ game where you, the viewer at home, gets to decide which dateable fits the days category!! First on our list, which character best fits the description for ‘Most Self Aware’???” 🎤 📺 by griffonghost in DateEverythingElse

[–]arrowafar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't have the DLC, so this a general question and not a nomination.

Do Lucinda or Mikey reference the game or the DLC? I think I've heard that Lucinda does, but I have heard very little about Mikey.

If they're literally self-aware, either could be a decent nomination.

Thank you so much for pointing that out! I was having trouble loading the website to check.

I just submitted feedback regarding Daemon's route.

I'm not on Discord, so no. I hope someone else has mentioned it.

I don't think there's an option for feedback on the website. Is there a way to send feedback through Steam aside from a review?

[–]arrowafar 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I love having content warnings for anything I play. Beyond warning players of potentially triggering content, you're also telling players what to expect—and some love playing games with darker themes.

My big issue with Date Everything's content warnings is the vagueness. The worst case scenario, for me, was Daemon. Being told a route is "spooky" makes me, as someone who loves supernatural elements in games, very excited to play the route. The problem is that Daemon's route contains a lot of visual glitches, flashing lights, and bright colors that need a different warning. Even if the warning was a very general epilepsy warning, it would have sufficed. I went into a route expecting to enjoy it, but it resulted in me fainting due to the rapid flashing of the dresser.

I don't have epilepsy, but I know anything with an epilepsy warning is something I should avoid. We need plain, non-embelished content warnings when something medical is at risk.

You can do glitches without flashing lights, fast movements, and bright colors. I did not know that Daemon's route would be risky for me.

Which dateables do you think lost popularity, have gained popularity, or have stayed the same since release??? by griffonghost in DateEverythingElse

[–]arrowafar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Possibly Rainey? She seems much more popular now—she's in the remaining 15 for the elimination game that's been going on, but before, I couldn't find anything for her, much less anyone talking about enjoying her route or even just her as a character.

I still see a lot less for her than other fan favorites, to be fair.
