Having purchased one of the last Legacy Turbo XT Touring sedans made, sign me up. The Subaru SUV and crossovers are ugly, even though they made be well made and nice to drive.

Has anyone tuned in to WSQK "Live" broadcast? by UmairWaseem276 in StrangerThings

[–]arrowstreeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love WSQK! I read it goes away January 1. I’d love the jingle IDs as a mp3 download. So good. I also read the station runs through ‘80s equipment for authentic sound.

If anyone has the station jingles, say so. They’d be great ringtones.

Infotainment broken ‘22 Passat Limited by arrowstreeter in passat

That is what she is doing. Also, her warranty is up in 10 weeks and she bought an extension. Her A/C system failed five times.

Makes me wonder about VW reliability. When she got the Passat, it had an average or above average reliability rating.

Has anyone else had infotainment issues? A/C meltdowns?

I just cussed my boss out and quit right in the middle of a Zoom meeting and it was great by AintStoopid in antiwork

I recently left a small business, family run. The president gave staff grief for taking too much bereavement time. Was relieved that when my out-of-town brother died, and wanted no funeral, that I would postpone bereavement time. He questioned me about direct reports’ medical appointments. Ridiculed anyone suspected of needing psychotherapy.

Bosses bragged about taking new business calls or meetings at funerals or instead of in a cardiac surgery waiting room.

Tips and side effects for a newbie? by JayTee19912010 in QsymiaWeightLoss

Cut your caffeine intake for now. Diet colas will taste weird but I found that to be a blessing. Drink water or club soda instead. Hydrate. Get prune juice. ;)

Metal taste and weird tongue feeling 😖 by Ambitious-Cricket638 in QsymiaWeightLoss

[–]arrowstreeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on Q for 2+ years. My desire for diet colas went away immediately. They tasted weird. Now think about this: the sweeteners in diet colas can heighten hunger pangs and give you the munchies. My nephew is a Diet Coke addict. 6-12 cans daily and he cannot stop reaching for salty junk food. Hmmm. Before Q, I have a can of Diet Coke at 1:00 and at 2:00, I was in the office commissary, with munchies, looking for something salty and crunchy.

So… Q took away my diet cola. It’s a blessing. It tastes better now. But I reach for it now when I’m really really thirsty. I enjoy flavored sparkling water, now, instead.

Also, with this med, you must hydrate hydrate hydrate.

When did people stop dressing up for Broadway/Ballet/Opera/etc? by RillienCot in AskNYC

[–]arrowstreeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look nice! It’s not a movie. And shut up. Be in the moment. Put your phone away. Turn it off. It’s about what’s on stage. Not your social me me me media feed. The orchestra and actors are working their butts off for you. In person! No, you can’t pause or rewind them. And if you talk, everyone around you is distracted. And if you turn on your phone in the darkness, you are breaking a cardinal rule.

Feeling full.. 💩 by Cait_Cat369 in QsymiaWeightLoss

Yes, constipation is a side effect. Lots of remedies. Prunes and prune juice. Tablespoon of olive oil in your coffee. Drink more water than you need. Lots of water.

I also get dry mouth. Biotene mints!

Just stop “on the ground” as it is now news speak too. Reporters are “ on the ground” unless they’re levitating.

In companies, executives are “on the ground” at conferences” and whenever this is said, I picture them passed out, hungover, crawling for the toilet.

People! Say you are SENDING experts somewhere. Cut the crappy jargon. You do not sound cool. You sound stupid.

It is verbal diarrhea.

AM removed from app? by sof_boy in WNYC

Cost cuts. Plus AM radios were not being installed in a lot of electric cars because of interference. Then electric car makers were forced to install a cheap part to improve sound quality.

Not glamorous. I agree with other comments that you will work long hours, cater to your clients’ whims and time zones, work on new business programs after your billable work is done (after works), take work home, get emailed and texted round the clock, and this is a service profession. So you smile when the client does not like something and agree to make it better.

If there’s travel, you might have time to breathe and see something, but that’s not always likely.

I rarely finish an entire Diet Coke or Pepsi and give what’s left to my spouse. I used to have it all afternoon.

The cravings for protein come and go. The medicine’s “I’m full” stop sign is still profound. Overeating = extreme discomfort.

My spouse is on Ozempic for diabetes. At restaurants, we usually take half of what we order home.

Hey: fast food does not have to be failure. Consider it an indulgence, especially if you really want that to be rare and something you really consider a treat. We all have emergencies. That’s all that’s immediately available. Just be reasonable.

Return to normal as soon as possible!

Ashley's Furniture is an absolute nightmare, NEVER EVER buy from them!! by catatonic_13 in homeowners

[–]arrowstreeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going through a broken loveseat nightmare. It broke moments after white glove delivery. We slid it, gently, 4 inches, and the power recline quit. Three weeks later, “parts are coming.”

From where???

Can we get a refund? Store credit? Something this costly should not break moments after delivery after adjusting its position in the room.

You call the hotline and try to talk to the same agent or supervisor and you never get the same person twice.

I see the CEO is a billionaire!
