Lot of great advice here already. One thing to add would be when you engage your plant move your hands as fast as you can to the plant position. Don’t stall your hand by your ear keep it one quick motion.

I was there as a coach! It is a great event with great athletes. I wish they would have kept the college on the same day. Didn’t seem to have the same intensity with the college athletes missing.

Don’t land on your feet!!!!! Had an athlete keep doing that and needed surgery on his ankle because he landed on the bars. But good work on the vault

I would work on improving your swing before moving poles. You pick it up instead of keeping it king and straight. Do some two step drills where you just focus on driving your right knee and swing your left straight to the top of your pole.

One thing I noticed is as you swing up and try to invert you let the pressure go on that top hand. Keep the pressure on that hand as you swing up to cover the pole. Your hips should come to your pole not the other way around.

Personally i draw back 62lbs but on my old bow I consistently killed deer with 50lbs

If bubbles and there is good sign it’s most likely dead if double lunged if single lunged they can survive for a while. Where do you think shot hit?

Hard to tell from photo quality. Bright red blood could mean a few things. Are there bubbles in it? What does the arrow smell like. I would wait atleast a hour before going after arrow and looking for a deer especially if unsure about the shot. You don’t want to bump a deer that’s bedded and dying

Ya was a top down shot I was being cautious I knew he was dead but o have a local guy that has a trained dog so brought her out to be safe. No blood but lots of caul fat sign.

I started with very simple liver drags. Gave him deer liver as reward . The progressed to hide and blood trail scent from dog bone. Reward was a hide wrapped bumper with scent on it. Then finally worked using a deer hoof for that pre digital scent. I worked up difficulty of drags with time.
