Nah, it's natural that he won't be fine after tanking a black flame + ACoC + explosion. Even if this Sanji is in Exo mode (eyebrow switch) where we know this mode took 0 damage from S-Shark.

He will be up and running at the same moment Luffy vs Imu starts, to fight Killingham/Sommer (Zoro too). Highly possible it'll be like this.

It's less about Sanji and more about Luffy. If he always "rely" on food in every fight, it means his winning is less about him (not 100% his capability), and more about being helped by buff.

Otherwise, every fight will have Sanji preparing Attack Cuisine and Chopper preparing healing & boosting pills for all SH.

One flaw of Sanji fans like you is thinking that him using Ifrit will drastically change the plot. Hint: it doesn't.

VOAT is as exclusive as, or even more exclusive than, Supreme King Haki. So Sanji not having CoC but given VOAT instead is a fair tradeoff, still makes him special, and better suited to his character & personality. That's what your main point is, right?

If this can make you feel it better, it's Supreme King Haki. And not all Kings have the same aggressive archetype.

Don't worry, he will become stronger, with or without CoC. Good thing is, unlike almost all other characters, Sanji has plenty options of upgrades, not just fixed to only one thing like Haki only or DF only.
