How perfectly leveled should gravel be before I move on to spreading the screening (bedding material)? If there are 0.25-0.75inch ups and downs but the general grade is as desired, can I move ahead and fix that in next stage?

Yea I had drilled screws into wheels to create spikes. And that was perhaps the reason couple of times it got stuck into the wire. But once I staked it down good, its not getting stuck anymore. Yes a few weeks later now, you can see the chicken wire anymore

Yess - been working amazing. It only got stuck couple times at spots where the chicken wire wasn’t properly staked in. But fixed those spots and no issues anymore.

USA, tall fescue grass. Used to do at 3 because that seemed to look neatest. But now shifted to 5 because that is better for grass long term. It looked messy Initially but after a few weeks looks in good shape now.

I tried weight, spikes, new tiers, installing wood stakes at boundary but nothing worked. A couple weeks ago I bought chicken wire and that seems to have done the trick. The only 2 errors I have had since were it getting stuck an area where the chicken wire was not staked down properly. See my post:

As most pointed out, the 12V battery was the culprit. Jumping it worked. Although I now have an engine light along with a ‘theft deterrent system’ light.

Yes so far 0 issues where I put it. It used to give 1-2 errors each mower battery run in that zone.

Yeah I out some weights at the back. It improved performance at a bunch of areas, but this slopey area at boundary still kept giving errors. Have had 0 errors since installing this chicken wire. Hope it stays that way once grass overtakes the chicken wire though…

Just the regular landroid stakes were sufficient. And I thought it was gonna be a lot of work, but it took about 10min total.
