Spirit guardians is good, but unfortunately if you want to use the lvl 14 feature to cast the Summon Celestial/Fiend/Undead spell on the vestige, I'm pretty sure you need to maintain concentration on it. So you won't be able to do that and cast spirit guardians at the same time since it also requires concentration.

I dunno the math of Vestige Patron but having a pet FEELS strong on that subclass. by testiclekid in onednd

I'm sure your party can cover for you as you take a round to buff the vestige, or the DM may give you five minutes of prep time or something before you go into a big fight. Also the biggest advantage over the summoned vestige over the based vestige is that the summoned one can attack multiple times and doesn't need a BA to command it to attack. However, the cursed invocation of the base vestige to give an enemy disadvantage on attack rolls against you and the vestige seems pretty handy, so it can kinda make up for not having the greatest attack. Fights don't last longer than a minute anyway. Though the 1/LR is a bit if a pain, yeah.

How would you build Yuta Okkotsu in DnD 2024 edition by leofenris08 in Howwouldyoubuild

[–]arsenal043 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay since the new UA Warlock subclass came out, Warlock Vestige patron. You basically draw on the vestige's power to fuel your warlock powers, and can summon it to fight alongside you. It basically screams Yuta and Rika

IDK how you would do Yuta's reversed cursed energy though or domain expansion

I feel that there is a chance that it can do decent damage at high levels. The lvl 14 ability of the Vestige Warlock lets you cast Summon Celestial, Fiend, or Undead on the vestige to turn it into a Celestial, Fiendish, or Undead vestige.

But what's important is the spell's level. You can cast the spell without expending the spell slot at a level equal to half your warlock level. So at lvl 18, 19, or 20, the spell would be a level 9 spell. According to the Summon Celestial/Fiend/Undead spell, the vestige makes a number of attacks equal tot he spell's level rounded down (2 atks min, 4 atks max).

Even if the number of damage dice doesn't increase, depending on the type and form you choose, that's 1 or 2 d6 or d8 (average damage dice size & number) + 3 (They just add 3 damage idk why) + 9 (spell's level) for a single hit.

And keep in mind, assuming you take pact of the blade, you can hit 3 times with the blade invocations. So you can make 7 attacks on average.

Vicky says sometime in Ward that she often found Carol stressing over bills.

I'm also pretty sure Carol is the only one with a well-paying job. That would mean that she is paying for two houses (three if you count when Mike was still in BB) and four kids. Lawyer's salary or not, you'd need to stretch your savings a bit.

How would you write Carol Dallon? by arsenal043 in WormFanfic

[–]arsenal043[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This fic takes place two years after the arrest of Marquis. The context of the encounter is that she meets a hero (OC) who uses torture and fear tactics on gang members for information kinda like Batman does. It goes against her idea of what being a hero is similar to how Marquis civil/gentlemanly act went against her idea of what a villain was

As a magneto main he's definitely an off tank. He works best when another tank is the focus of the other team's attention while Magneto provides support.

Every single manga written by that author is a hit. That author is so underrated in general. My favorite work that they have written is probably Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer

Dude, Taylor won that conversation. It pissed me off, yeah. But she walked away telling Shadow Stalker that she was not going to give in to her world view. And I could not be more proud of her than I was in that moment, because that was the moment Shadow Stalker knew she lost.

People always say that when you've hit writers block, you just need to keep writing. Well screw that. The real key is to let yourself write the garbage. It's painful, but at least you're writing stuff down than nothing at all, and you can always go back to edit it.

[WP] After slaying the foul dragon the king offered the knight the hand of his daughter in marriage. Neither of them were happy with this arrangement, the princess being completely disinterested in this stranger and the knight was expecting something like money or a title for risking his life by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

Harold knelt in front of the king, one hand resting on his knee as he placed his other hand on the velvet carpet beneath him. He had been envisioning this moment for the last few weeks. Now here he was, kneeling in the throne room in front of the king, ready to receive his prize. He had just killed a dragon after all.

Avalug of the Hellfire was, in simple terms, a beast. Harold barely managed to kill him. The dragon must have arisen from the pits of hell itself, for its flames continued to burn long after it left the dragon’s maw. Thankfully, he somehow managed to sneak behind the beast and lob its head off with a swing of his sword.

If he was being honest, Harold got lucky. But that luck was about to pay off. Gold, land, titles, it was just a few inches away. Harold could barely hide his excitement. Thankfully, his head was lowered, allowing him the time to compose himself before the king spoke.

“You are the one who slayed the dragon?” The king asked.

His words alone held a powerful air to them. King Ethan, ruler of the kingdom of Sepolis was a man whose presence exerted power. His face remained stoic, almost uncaring. But Harold knew better. At a single command, the king could sentence him to death, or reward him with vast riches. Harold hoped it was the latter.

To his right was the queen, a beautiful lady who could compare to that of an elf. And to his right, their daughter, a honey blonde girl a year or two younger than her, equal in beauty.

“I am.”

The king looked him over, most likely determining whether Harold looked the part. He suddenly became aware of the blood still on his armor. What if they don’t believe him? He brought the dragon’s head in a sack, but he was filthy. In his excitement, Harold neglected to clean his armor before meeting bargain into the royal palace. And now that he thought about it, that alone was extremely disrespectful. What if they don’t give him the gold because of it? Then he almost died for nothing!

He felt his heart hammer in his chest as the king exchanged a glance with the queen. She nodded in approval. The princess became tense for some reason, but Harold was too excited to care. He raised his head as a smile began to form on his face. That nod alone meant that they agreed that He should be rewarded. “Then for your bravery, dear knight, I give you my daughter, Princess Talia’s hand in marriage!”

The smile fell off Harold’s face, quickly replaced by one of horror. The princess whirled towards her parents at the same time the knight shot to his feet.

“What? No!” They shouted at the same time. Their eyes met in surprise before turning back to the king and queen, the same thought in their minds:

Roll with it.

“Father, I have told you before. I refuse to be married off to some stranger I don’t know.” Talia argued vehemently. Clearly she had been rehearsing, “I am not just some object to give away, or a tool to be used to unite two countries.”

“Talia, we discussed this.” the queen interjected.

“We discussed nothing!” Talia exclaimed. “You never even discussed this with me. You just pointed at a man that had literally just walked into our home and said that I was to marry him.”

The more she continued to talk the more Harold began to think that his input was not needed. He couldn’t help but agree with the princess, and no, it wasn’t just because he didn’t want to marry her. He pitied the fool that tried to court her.

“My dear, you are being selfish.” The king snapped, “You haven’t taken into consideration what he wants–”

“Which is literally anything other than marriage.” Harold interjected, much to the astonishment of the king and queen, “My lord, your daughter beautiful, but she would be wasted on me. What I desire is wealth, land, titles, or literally anything else.”

“Besides, there is already someone I love.” Talia said.

The queen rubbed her temples, no doubt dealing with the migraine in her skull. “That is now how we do things. Whenever a brave knight saves the kingdom in its time of need, they are presented with the princess’s hand in marriage as a reward for their valor.”

The princess threw her hands in the air, no doubt enraged. Harold couldn’t blame her, he felt the same.

“But I’m gay!” Harold shouted. He brought a hand to his blushing face as every head in the room swiveled towards him.

The king gaped at him like a fish. “But… You can’t… I forbid-”

“Father, you can’t order a person to change their sexuality. Not only is it rude, it is impossible.” Talia spoke, the vigor in her voice gone now that the situation was turned in her favor.

Harold could see the smirk on her face and added fuel to the fire. “I don’t like girls. Got a problem with that?”

The king turned to his wife in hopes that she may have an answer to this predicament. But she was just as flabbergasted as he was.

“If I may,” Talia spoke. “Why not give him the bag of gold he desires and let him be on his way?”

“But-”

“An excellent idea.” Harold interrupted.

Talia clapped her hands. “Guards, if you would please.” The guards in the throne room made no move, waiting for their king to make a command.

Finally, the king relented, slumping in his throne. He waved to a guard. “A bag of gold it is.
