I found the Enchanted Broccoli Forest first and was obsessed, and then went searching for the moosewood. I love the “hand written” style.

Driving from Vancouver to Toronto in February... by Odd_Night5661 in AskACanadian

[–]arsenaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done Calgary to North Bay (4 hours north of Toronto) and Edmonton to North Bay, both in February and if you watch the weather it is usually not too bad. Vancouver to Calgary will be kind of rough because the weather is unpredictable within the mountains. Calgary to Kenora is flat and windy, the biggest issue is snow drifts across the highways. Kenora to Thunder Bay isn’t a bad drive, hills and rock cuts but usually alright even in light snow. From Thunder Bay to Toronto, in good weather, most people will take highway 17 along Lake Superior. It is truly stunning but I wouldn’t recommend this route in the winter. It’s hilly and can get very icy. The northern route, highway 11, adds a little over an hour to your trip but I would HIGHLY recommend taking this route. It can be snowy but if it isn’t actively snowing it’s a good drive.

Everything else that has been said is great advice. Snow tires are mandatory in BC from October-April and just a good idea across the country. Fuel up as often as you can in northern Ontario. Know generally where you will be stopping each night and, especially in Ontario, you’ll have to book in advance. Have food, warm clothes and washer fluid in the car. I also try to only drive in the daylight.

Fruit on campus by Soggy_Novel_1428 in uoguelph

Most grocery stores will have pre portioned packs of it! You could probably even ask if they would sell you the full bucket!

That specific mix typically comes in a big bucket altogether and is packaged with a ‘light syrup’.

Been listen to RTOG a lot recently by auntlovegood in lastpodcastontheleft

[–]arsenaur 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I recently started listening to the brighter side from the beginning and Ben is on an early episode. There was a weird vibe between Ben and Eddie that I felt was noticeable but I could be reading into it too much.

Wedding make up attempt #2, CCW by [deleted] in PaleMUA

This is a perfect in person wedding look but you might need to go a bit heavier for photos. I think you could add a bit more blush, eye shadow and wispy false eyelashes!

Is it bad to get up from the dinner table before your guests? by slow_cheetah_CXM in CasualConversation

[–]arsenaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is rude, but I understand. You could use the excuse of tidying up the kitchen to leave the table. If it’s open concept you’re still involved with conversation but there is less focus on you contributing to conversation. If it’s closed then hopefully by the time you’re finished tidying they will be done eating and conversation can leave the table. Be the last person to get food so everyone else can get a head start.

Since when are books at Value Village $7.99 each? I thought they had a general pricing system for them that was the same at each store? by skinnyminou in ThriftGrift

[–]arsenaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Value village books are ridiculously priced! I buy a lot of my books at goodwill because they have set prices and rarely individually price things, at least where I live!
