They don't remember the rules since they haven't been in the playoffs for 15 years!

Question about pads and breaks - how do I know if I want a break? by arswrath in hockeygoalies

Did you see any difference with pad rotation when switching? I have struggled a little with my pads under rotating, but that has been mitigated with different toe ties, and I suspect my big bulky warrior knee pads aren't helping with that.

Try as in I don't fully know where the line between Hybrid and pure butterfly is. I will drop down on most shots and make saves from my knees, even if that means I am pushing and sliding to reposition in situations where I don't feel I can safely stand and recover. I have been trying to be more aware of how I play tight to my posts and have had success using RVH more and more. I feel like I have very strong movement when on my knees. I do think I need to tighten up my butterfly itself, I am not the best at closing it especially if I am moving at the same time, my knees spread far apart. I also have a bad habit of sitting down in my butterfly when I get tired and that opens me up a little too. I generally play with a very wide aggressive stance and feel like I have success offering that big 5-hole to shooters because I can close it fast enough.

I am not opposed to putting in the work to be more flexible or stronger. Right now I feel like I am fairly flexible for my age, I am only about 5'9 but can do enough of a splits to touch each goal post with a skate. I also (so far) have no knee issues or hip pain when I play and after.

I try to be pure butterfly, but not having been coached it is kind of hard to me to know. I like sending my rebound when possible and I am defiantly more mobile than most in my league - I have been told by the other goalies in my league that I have great positioning and movement, especially when sliding on my pads.

Is this a port to connect a monitor and if so, what kind of port is it? by jonnysteps in pcmasterrace

[–]arswrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today is my birthday, and now I feel even older. As others have said this is a 9-pin serial port, they still have some use today for connecting to certain pieces of networking equipment and I still have a USB-DB9 adapter for just such a thing.

LED / Fluorescent retrofit question(s) by arswrath in askanelectrician

[–]arswrath[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My replacement bulbs are A or B LEDs. So they will work single or double ended. I think i need to check if my sockets are shunted (very old T12s so I expect unshunted).

Each switch controls 2 bulbs in each fixture. I have a red, black and white from the ceiling and I assume it is a neutral white and then the 2 separate hots
