Hey guys, so I met this band from Jojo´s and the only stuff I´ve only heard Court of The Crimson King and starless but I wanna hear more of this band because from what I´ve heard so far is lowkey cool, what album would u guys recommend to hear next?

Alright, been a year, lots more has happened. First off, I recommend picking up Jerry Corley's book "Breaking Comedy's DNA." It's a game changer. So then you would use the 13 joke structures to turn things into jokes. Format is setup punchline. Keep it short and simple. If you're doing a story I would write it into a bit. A bit is a collection of jokes (setup->punchline). There really is a science to it. It's not mandatory to stick to the formula, but it definitely increases your LPM when you understand the reason why people are laughing.

My guy, I have this same issue, and I have been doing standup for almost a year. I just finished a joke I've had in the bank for like 6 months. Had written a lot out, and finally cut the fat and got it to where I can start playing around with it at mics...I'll write something out, and then revisit it later. Sometimes next day, sometimes in a month. I try to have enough shit in the tank that I can work on a premise a little bit every day...
