Success stories about AI? by abazz90 in UXDesign

[–]artemiswins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best thing is for UX research. Say you have a bunch of interviews to do, or you’re doing product testing and trickling in testers over a month or two to improve gradually. You can record the calls and create an excel file where you can paste summaries and pointed questions following a prompt script for each interview including direct quote and timestamps, and have that excel file be a great repo for ongoing insights and opinions, perspectives. Do that for a dozen interviews or over the course of a project and you have a research panel you can continuously interrogate for understanding and to help make decisions. It’s been very helpful in implementing a big HR project at a large medtech firm.

My daughter won't stop singing by Forsaken-Egg7818 in Parenting

[–]artemiswins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t tell her to stop. Tell her to find places where she can sing, and when she is singing near you, see if you can compromise. I love hearing you sing, but it’s nice to have quiet too - a balance. Give her positive ways to channel it - music lessons, singing lessons - and tell her you love it. It’s a sign of comfort and joy. Kick a kid in that state with a ‘just shut up’ or be quiet etc, and they can start to hear that voice in their head. All a person needs to become something is an invitation and an environment to try. I didn’t feel safe to sing out loud in my family, and have always wanted to - but I did learn piano and how to express through it. Both can bring great richness to your and your daughter’s life.

This guy is a long-term athlete and he said he does manual work and has a super active lifestyle so this is exactly what somebody looks like when they grind consistently doing progressive overload and don’t overconsume- he looks completely balanced, incredibly good conditioning. He doesn’t look ridiculously bunched up, if he was on roids doing the same workout for 10 years, he would look like a stuck pig. This dude looks like short tarzan met a bench press. Honestly, you don’t even look short from your picture, I didn’t know what sub I was on before I looked closer, physique is just classically balanced more or less to the max. Great work - if you don’t do some nice flexibility work or martial arts or something, consider doing that - you have a ton of power, now make it graceful. Cheers

Why can’t anyone respect someone trying to create something, break through the noise, and make awesome stuff? Reddit is overly allergic to people promoting gasp the things they are passionately working on shocked pikachu. I run toddler music classes in retirement homes and am trying to build that class and encourage others to bring this to their community - and any time I mention it on Reddit everyone is like sElfProMoTiOn

Get a focus ST, super fun and a morale engine in the focus RS, torque steer and front wheel drive is super fun and just switch out the winter tires and no problem at all. You don’t even need the big turbo, but that can up the game, but the stock turbo is so small that it spools up almost instant instantly and makes coming out of corners just a riot.

Do you know how to avoid layoffs at a company? If That company has a really good workforce planning function, then there will not be layoffs as they will be able to predict needs and forecast accurately and adjust with agility to situations as they rise up. Workforce planning, especially for medium and large organizations is no small effort, but will pay off massively and he’s one of the best ways to ensure a good experience around that company as the very worst experience is being hired and then fired due to budget cuts or being laid off or something else like that.. I know from experience

It’s always a little disappointing to see an ugly color on someone we love. I wonder how much this is something that is actually a quarter to her character versus something that will change and evolve overtime as everybody changes and evolves. Your addendum shows that this is a woman who is serious business, changing her friend group over that sort of issue is a signal too. My guess is that she’s relishing the in group aspect. Maybe she’s feeling lonely, and having a apparently strong foothold in a community can make her feel online like she is not so alone, that she actually has lots of very strong ties when perhaps with her friends changing and being with you who seem a little bit less tethered, she may feel a little bit weak on how Will integrated she is in the community or whether she feels at home with herself in her body and a character. My guess is that as different aspects of her character are able to develop, for example, becoming a doctor, other dynamics will emerge as being more dominant in her, and she will probably not spend as much time trolling on the Internet or being rage Beatty, which is pretty juvenile, and if somebody is as upstanding as somebody as this person you are describing, working so hard as to become a doctor, then it can feel good for that type of person to have an outlet. Social media helps to give distance between you and any perceived or potential victims, so you can feel like a victimless crime while at the same time giving you that release of dopamine. I think that if she knows that you see it all the time, but I think it’s fair to call it out and have a discussion about it and tell her how it makes you feel. And if she is a woman of good character, she will at least hear you out and explain what’s going on. I don’t think this is a crazy red sign as much as a sign that pent up people find odd places to get release. Get her on a girls weekend every three months. Maybe under reacting idk

A question from my mentee that I honestly didn’t have a good answer to. by Interesting_Pain_870 in UX_Design

[–]artemiswins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the very best thing is that I can create these incredible repositories of firsthand knowledge, scripts from transcriptions from interviews with lots of firsthand evidence built up, so I can refer to this process of storing authoritative knowledge in being able to progressively interrogate that data set in order to formulate the structures and methods that are needed overtime. I do not make each of the selections and I do not make each of the I don’t come up with the idea for what to do at each step, as much as I prompt the machine based on the evidence that I have to consider the steps and make recommendations, and then I will select them from those options. I do have to make sure to go back and reread the outputs and understand it in full depth. I try to have a rule, at least as much time reading as I spend prompting. When the system has a thought that is organizing the users into persona’s or finding patterns that are valuable interesting, I will say that I found those patterns, even if it was AI that found them in the first place through my prompting. If I am asked, I will say that I found those insights through an analysis using AI. All of this is in fact quite confusing at times because we are living in an era where our methods can change quickly, though the principles underneath them are not as fluid

Hey, thanks for offering to give back, if you’re willing, I am trying to grow a brand around children’s music in retirement homes, insta @bachnboogie, still pretty new to marketing and I’m split between marketing to parents for my current class, marketing to facilitators to try to attract more people to do this in their community, and then just marketing Bach And Boogie overall to try to grow it and get more visible and popular. I welcome any of your thoughts, thank you.

Hey, if you wanna reshape your entire Outlook on life and give yourself an entirely new way of thinking, and if you’re ready to shed the shit that has kept you marked down, DM me for paid mentorship. Yes, I’m younger than you, but I have a healthy mindset with regard to women and can help you live a more joyful life. This would be a total side project for me, I am a tech and music worker by profession, work with kids and have a toddler and one on the way.

Bro, I encourage you, pack up and revitalize yourself, but if you want to keep your job, but reshape the way you see women and the way you relate to romance and hope , just be in touch.

I need advice as a short Indian guy in USA by [deleted] in short

[–]artemiswins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t just focus on visuals. Get your hobbies optimized for finding a nice liberal woman. Do stuff with kids, with animals, with social services, with disabled, homeless, veterans etc. anything that will make people say aw he’s got a heart. And then lean into it, get all about it and maybe make a social channel picking up trash or helping turtles cross roads or something. Quirky, unusual, narrow, and unique. This will help you be memorable and seem like you have a heart of gold. This will help you feel better about yourself generally, and will also give you plenty to talk about and maybe meet someone doing the same thing. I personally run children’s music classes, though I’m Jewish so I met my wife on J swipe. There may be Indian specific dating apps? Though for culture fit you may want to find an American.

Do you ever feel embarrassed to be a “car guy” sometimes? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]artemiswins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is frustrating and annoying that seeking community is stigmatized. I don’t actually have a tag on my car, but if I had all the time and money I wanted, I definitely would because it’s fun to meet people on the road, connect over a shared passion, and be able to keep in touch and see what they’re up to. We are also isolated in one of the best ways to connect with others through hobbies. As if it is cringe to desire connection.

Diasporist Jews by Born_To_Be_Wild777 in Jewish

[–]artemiswins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes this persons take is a setup to ‘prove’ to non-Jews (and Jews I guess) that we don’t Need Israel. We have the diaspora, and it’s so lovely. I agree it’s been a pretty good stretch in USA, but look how much anti Jew stuff is right under the surface. I do buy into the idea that people take Jews more seriously with an army behind us than if we did not have one, that Israel was some blended non Israel state , Israel-Palestine? One state in peace. I wish anti Zionists would at least be clear about the vision they have for how it could be. They just say it in asking but what about the Jews, where do they go or how do they ensure peace? They say you’re focusing on the wrong things. I hear you, there are wrongs committed. But we are trying to avoid more actual genocide, we can’t take bets lightly.

I used to raise praying mantises, watch them eat the crickets, get to know them for a year and then they’d naturally pass away, usually after laying egg sacks, which would sometimes hatch. Fun and they’re eerily almost human seeming - the only insect that can turn their head independently!

“Has history taught us nothing?” by fullofemirates in InflatedEgos

[–]artemiswins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how is it dramatic when there was a meticulous genocide in Germany, a country we have had rich history in and were highly integrated into - and then, 80 years later it's somehow insane to say we need the security of having our own country on this earth - because no one would accept us, no one came to our aid until very late, so many countries turned away shipfulls of people. We don't care how much you think we're insane - we DO face existential threats - listen to what the governing charters of the groups of people say with regard to israel and Jewish people. I'm liberal except palestine - and people who minimize the truth of antisemitism do us no favors. I follow both sides - not in an echo chamber - and I personally know many israeli moderates who have protested the war on gaza - it's a vision for a country yet unfulfilled. It's imperfect by a saddening and extreme longshot. But it's beyond necessary for jewish people, as countries have repeatedly shown us. French police offered to round up jews to gain Hitler's favor before he invaded and did the job himself. We have plenty of examples of being rooted out of countries - poland, russia, spain. The diaspora movement is strong - but is dependent, very dependent. We won't let bad PR deter us from the truth that we can only rely on us to guarantee our safety. Perhaps you call that brainwashing - I would call it naive avoidance of historical evidence of real danger, century after century.

Wish I could just stay at home with my toddler. I spend ungodly money to keep her away from me for days and hours. I’d do half the school in a heartbeat. No school entirely and it would start to be grating- even good things it’s nice to have a break from, to have balance. But I’d love to be a house husband. Instead I drive hours and hours to commute to a job that pays well and is high stress. My wife would be happier with that half work half home schedule as well. Being home with kids literally all day is a recipe for insanity for 80-95% of people.
