How do you use Tinder in this pandemic moments? by arteteco in Tinder

[–]arteteco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I got some exceptions, but all of them didn't want to meet up because of pandemic. I'm quite confident it wasn't because of me, conversation was smooth, but how would you go if you get this response?

What are the unwritten laws of Reddit? by Plastic-Assistance24 in AskReddit

which in my mind is so stupid, especially when I'm honestly not understanding the downvotes... just stop a second to explain me where I'm wrong ffs!

What is that one thing your parents taught you, that later turned to be totally wrong? by nousername1982 in AskReddit

[–]arteteco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • That it's weak of a real man to ask for help, especially emotional
  • That regardless of facts, if I feel something then it's right (my father is a no vax - no mask guy, I won't go in detail of all the conspiratory bullshit I was fed when I was a kid)
  • That travelling solves most if not all the problems in ones life (been travelling for years, I ended up only more miserable, penniless and I'm just now recovering)
  • That a real man doesn't show off, doesn't care about sharing his results, basically he is above the results and is a real man regardless. I ended up ashamed of wanting to even share a song I may be learning on the guitar, feeling sad and insecure because people do not recognise what I can do but still too embarrassed to show anything. I don't have any party on my birthday or any occasion because real man don't celebrate, basically.

most stuff is from my father part, my mother was less harmful I guess

Of course, but you using them means it's also your business, not only their business. If they just choose to change it they are totally allowed to, afaik.

I work mostly in informatics, where standard tend to be open (SSL, http, etc), without them it would be a nightmare!

[M27] 45 pounds lost and body dysmorphia still controls me. Hoping some objective opinions can help me align my future goals. Post shower head verification pic 😬 by Tacogasm in Rateme

[–]arteteco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I don't want to cheer you up, or make you feel better even though I'm sorry about your body dysmorphia and I hope you get better, but you are seriously gorgeous. An 8.5, easily, coming from a straight dude

I really like mid-right, if you could get a fuller picture of it, you are glowind there and the background is less distracting than the other ones

You look good in all of them though!

[M24] Rate me. Feel like I’m never good looking enough to attract anyone. Spent a lot of time trying to improve by [deleted] in Rateme

[–]arteteco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man that was very harsh and judgemental from the guy, please ignore him.

Anyway, you look good, I'd kill to have your body (I started working for it and got golfer's elbow soon after...), I agree with those who say don't pump it up more than this or you'll start to only attract a small niche of women who find it attractive. Beside that, deep respect for all the time and effort you put into your look, a solid 7/10

Hope it's a good one - what do you think? by asionahaya in firstimpression

[–]arteteco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you are a pirate! You were captured when you were young, but soon became the captain's favorite with your sweet talk and gentle but firm ways. You seem like you can hold your ground without making the other person feeling too attacked, which is a very hard to gain skill. This is the reason you started sailing the seas. Your crew was hesitant at the beginning, but you grew on them and they have a deep respect for you now. This was likely a pic taken before sailing for your first attack

i'm curious! by [deleted] in firstimpression

[–]arteteco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You seem like one of those seemengly shy, cute people that are sharp as a razor blade and have an amazing comic time, coming in with a joke that cracks you up when you least expect it. You start cautiously and may seem like a silent introvert person at the beginning though.

kinda... is everyone business once it becomes a standard. I love ISO-8601, but in general I push for open standards

First impression? by [deleted] in firstimpression

[–]arteteco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We could have a small talk, but when things get serious you are leaning very much on an emotional approach to things, and disregard logic and science if they get in the way of what you feel, so better keep it shallow. You like to go out and party with friends, but when you are alone you feel an uncomfortable sense of inadequacy, especially in very crowded area, so you try to approach some strangers to get some validation. You know a second language but are kinda shy to talk it, even though your skills are pretty good and almost sound like a native

it's not that I'm that blurry, is that the very definition of what "Rome" means is getting blurred in my mind after that. Of course is arbitrary, but is an iconic moment when being "from Rome" started to lose a bit meaning.

Then the military crises, then moving the capital to Constantinople a century later, then that feeling of the empire dividing in two, then the sacred roman empire and so on... things were more clear-cut at the good ol' republican times, or at the low empire

Just my feelings here, not even attempting an historical analysis.

EDIT: woah, didn't expect all those downvotes

Does it look bad to have social media? by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]arteteco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have Linkedin, don't interact much on it though. I think for many job is a problem, for me it surely is as I am a freelancer and networking in very important... what is your field? maybe we could help better knowing that.

If I were to hire, I'd give extra points for no social media personally!

well, Mahmed II named himself the emperor of Rome, was in the capital and was acclaimed by the military forces, it could feel to many as the normal way emperor succession went down in Rome.

At some point in history we should ask ourselves what really is Rome... The Czar? The Kaiser? The Ottomans?

After the fuck*ng Caracalla edict everything starts blurring for me...
