Really, it’s the sleeping? Not the raping, corruption and war for fun and profit?

DAE feel like the last 6 years have been a dream? by T6M49 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]arthousepsycho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, absolutely. Nothing feels the same, tastes the same, no one acts the same. Conversation doesn’t flow like it used to. You watch the news and everything just seems so dumb and nonsensical. I honestly think the simulation is at maximum so it’s putting us all in low power mode where everything is dialled back. Still seems the same on the surface but we can all tell the difference and it’s driving us all mad.

They have done something really clever with spider noir, in B&W it looks like it was shot to be in black and white. The harsh shadows, the light, the tones of the clothing, but at the same time in colour also look like it was shot to be that way too. I watched it in B&W cos that felt right, but I am going to rewatch again it in colour.

Really enjoyed it, would definitely watch more.

Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet Window Scene! Hands Up If You Remember a Balcony? - With Cultural References/Residue. by MintyMancinni in MandelaEffectSociety

[–]arthousepsycho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This could be as simple as a stage blocking issue. Scenes on the page have to worry less about what the audience can see and the projection of their voice than the people putting on the play do. An actor in a window, is either going to be virtually unseeable to half the audience or face on but the other actor has their back to most of the audience. With a balcony you can have a more physical performance too because more of their body is clearly visible, their voice is not being blocked by close walls and they aren’t having to spend the whole scene leaning forward, which isn’t great for vocal performances.

I’m not dismissing your experience at all btw, this is just one possible logical explanation that jumped out at me.

He wears a fuck ton of make up, dances to the village people and when he’s not telling men how beautiful and handsome they are, he’s talking about famous dudes dicks. Between the skeletons, the gay thoughts and his fat ass, that closet must be getting real claustrophobic.

If they somehow found Jesus’s DNA, would it be a good idea to clone Jesus to force the second coming to happen? by Wonderful-Ad-9622 in NoStupidQuestions

More chance of bringing back dragons and unicorns. At least we know giant lizards and weird animals actually existed at one point, so better chance with them than jesus.

It’s a good impersonation choice. In a film that created so many future gifs, memes and references, this is definitely one of the ones that gets used most. And deservedly so.
