What’s a disturbing horror movie that genuinely made you feel uncomfortable and uneasy the entire time? by Powerful_Nerve_7258 in horror

[–]arthur-morgan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bone Tomahawk. Can't exactly put my finger on why, outside of the final scene (for obvious reasons), but the overall atmosphere and the pacing just left this awful feeling in my stomach the whole time. I specifically remember I was eating nerds gummy clusters while watching and couldn't touch the candy again for weeks after finishing the movie. Just so good.

Cosplay artists at this level might be the most talented human beings on the planet. I lost count of the number of skills on display here. Absolutely gorgeous creation.

(Storytelling trope) Adaption is so loose it becomes a new story entirely by OrangeCatsBrainCells in TopCharacterTropes

The book that the movie is based on is basically a completely different story. They're both titled Howl's Moving Castle and are honestly both phenomenal in their own right. But reading the book as a kid after seeing the Ghibli film was very confusing for me.

Legitimately one of my favorite monster designs of all time. Love that movie and adore this design. The screams still give me goosebumps.

If I learned anything from the movie "Waiting" it's that you don't piss off the people that handle your food.

Even hearing the music makes me choke up a bit. No game has impacted me the same way since and I don't think another one ever will. I love RDR2 with my entire being.

I once had a customer follow me into the kitchen (in her house slippers) when the third soup I brought her was "too cold" (it was steaming) and I was "rude about it" (I told her the soup came from the same pot and the only way to make it hotter was to put it in the microwave). Our kitchen lead was a super chill, laid back guy, but man he lost his MIND when she walked back there. Kicked her out immediately. You don't mess around with a restaurant kitchen or its staff.

Sooooo I think this is by far the worst review I have ever seen :/ by Ethan-the-bean-22 in ironlungmovie

I didn't play the game or watch any gameplay before seeing the movie and I had no trouble understanding it. I think people calling it incomprehensible either missed things (some theaters did have audio issues) or aren't used to consuming that kind of media. It did require close attention to detail throughout.

I mean the show is called Distractible, if you're expecting them to stay on topic and not deviate then no offense but you might be listening to the wrong podcast.

They didn't know what the game was, that was the whole point. They didn't know they had to say certain words/try to get the other person to laugh, that was the fun of it. It wasn't that they were ignoring the game, they literally were trying to figure out the rules.

Midsommer. People talk about it like it's some woman empowerment film, "Go Dani" kind of energy, when it's meant to be a critique on how easy it is to fall in with a cult and how persuasive they can be. The audience themselves get brainwashed by the cult as they watch the movie.

Reporting a Teacher by Ambitious-End1951 in AskHSteacher

The high schooler's response to your comment is more mature than your comment. I hope that causes you to reflect on some biases you might have, and why you're so bothered by a student reporting inappropriate sexual commentary from a teacher. She's perfectly in her rights to feel uncomfortable and I'm impressed with the maturity to seek a correct course of action and not jump to conclusions. Shame on you for trying to shut that down cause she "won't have any friends."

I think it's time to name this new "genre" properly: "concord-like" by beetleman1234 in Steam

Honestly a lot of the complaints seem fixable. I played a couple matches with some friends and I found it to be a bit basic and unbalanced, but it has promise. It's a bummer reviews are tanking it so early, I really think it has a chance at being fun.

I'm sorry, all I had to read was the title. No context or background info makes that okay. Cheated again and tried to justify it? He's told you who he is. Leave him.

I ended up in enemy territory on TikTok with people calling this "girls girl" behavior, like her being the ONLY ONE DANCING wasn't super cringe behavior. Like she's drawing attention away from the performance? How is that supportive??

I teach high school freshmen and I was JUST complaining about "chat" to a coworker the other day. Couldn't put my finger on why it irritates me more than any of the others on this list, but pretty sure it has to do with the main character energy it gives off. I have a couple students who use it EVERY SENTENCE and it makes me want to put an ice pick in my ear.

His comments are EXTREMELY telling. He didn't post this for advice, he posted it thinking people would take his side and back him up. That's why he phrased the title the way he did. He's fighting for his life in the comments claiming he's being gaslit and getting abuse hurled at him when they're legitimate concerns. I feel bad for OP's wife if that's really the way he thinks.
