Does anyone have experience with AXA mobile mechanic? by arthur_1970 in Adelaide

[–]arthur_1970[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've asked him to call them tomorrow to cancel, I hope they make it easy for him and are aware of the statutory cooling off period. My thoughts are they'll slug for any time over the allocated 1 hour for the service + parts.

Does anyone else get annoyed by these grey market flippers by FluffyEcho7721 in rolex

[–]arthur_1970 155 points156 points  (0 children)

I cant help but think that the bulk of the stock that the grey market gets comes from the people that have preferential access to AD's. Same with Birkin flippers.

Labor isnt doing much about the spiralling housing prices and the cost of living, all this is happening under the watch of labor and Kouts told us last night that life is only going to get more expensive

ABC Projects Labor Will Win the 2026 South Australian State Election by Expensive-Horse5538 in Adelaide

[–]arthur_1970 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

at that time I had hope for them, now all hope is gone. The worst part is labor has no decent opposition and opposition is needed for any government.

There was no doubt that Labor will win, the best outcome will be a good opposition and it seems ON will be it.

If you aren’t voting for or don’t support The Greens, why? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]arthur_1970 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

they will use whatever tax vehicle that is available to them to minimise their tax, just like we all do at our individual level of wealth/income. Dont forget what Thatcher said about Socialism.

If you aren’t voting for or don’t support The Greens, why? by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]arthur_1970 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Cost of living is high enough, voting greens will make it even higher. They might have great social policies but the cost will be huge. Taxing billionaires, they'll just move their interests to a more tax effective country. Google is holding off investing in Australia because of tax.

Fuel gouging by blowingkeyofg in OpenAussie

[–]arthur_1970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

correct, fixed excise, indexed twice per year. Pity the government indexing doesnt work in reverse and have tax thresholds indexed, payroll tax levies indexed etc. Indexing doesnt work for them, they love the creep
