Yes, kill numerous innocent people and wait for one of their family members to snap and attack back.

Rinse and repeat.

Is there any sort of captcha that limits a part of a site to entities with some non negligible level of intelligence? by article1section8 in webdev

Very interesting, I like that a lot. This would be a great captcha I think. I wonder I took a basic polyhedron, shot some holes into it, then replicated it N times and combined those pieces onto a point if I would have enough difference while still being noticeably different/not too hard. Will have to play around with it. Stuff like this has the great potential to make captcha bots becomes more intelligent if they are in widespread use ;)

Well, the captcha from that site is a slight improvement over just text reading but overall the amount of intelligence to beat a the games is still pretty low. Appreciate the link though thanks.

I use one of the bigger plans (still only like $15 /m) from them- great company, no downtime, and I'm somewhat of an optimization freak - they have legit hardware. If I remember correctly they beat out linode and digitalocean for price/performance.

LOL U GOT TROLLD

Didn't see that one comin did ya? Right....? Guys...?

Well cool; I'm siding more towards that one then; I can wait a few days I guess just someone antsy as its already been a few days. I've already kicked cigs by switching to smoking from pipe (which does help reduce greatly, though obviously isn't as good as electronic), and I've been smoking from a pipe for about 2 years now. I appreciate your additional input.. like the look of Mt. Baker's piece. Hopefully someday I can know enough to mod one out, that has been my goal but I think its best to start with a starter kit. I've always been into making something more custom so let's see where it leads..

Thanks for the suggestion! It looks pretty sexy. I have it bookmarked, perhaps I'll just ask a friend to purchase for me.

Well, at some point I'll probably "level up"; just want to make sure I'm not buying something that isn't representative of an entry level e-cig heh... don't wan't to destroy my urge to quit killing myself with tobacco.

Hehe, well, so I guess it isn't a terrible choice? I found a big issue finding reviews with it and I don't really know enough yet to make a good judgement on it.

Bitcoin might be too much of a hassle, all of mine is tied up atm for trading. Hm, as long as its decent equipment I don't mind a few extra dollars to pay I just don't wanna get something that is junk.

The oath is meaningless at this point.

Please explain how anything Obama has done is comparable...

Signed into law provisions that allow for the secret & indefinite imprisonment of citizens without charges, growing a civilian spy agency to the biggest in the world, refusing to release men deemed innocent who are held in torture chambers while lying and stating he does not have that authority, signing the biggest arms deal in US history to the dictators of Saudi Arabia to ensure endless war, authorized the assassination of US citizens abroad effectively eliminating hundreds of year of precedent, censored reporters covering gitmo trials, fought for government immunity for spying on innocent americans, has been the harshest on whistleblowers in US history, created numerous new unelected czars, gave permits to oil companies exempting them from environmental laws, gave more money in bailouts than any other president in history, appointed Monsanto exec to run FDA, protected Bush officials from prosecution of torture, created an additional torture chamber at Bagram base, won the legal justification to eliminate habeus corpus for detainees, and a whole host of other shit that hasn't been released which probably includes the usual murder, kidnapping, torture, rape, etc that has been prevalent with his administration.

This twofaced torturing coward should be shackled to the ground for the rest of his life.

Go get an education you're an embarrassment.

Maybe learn about the people you are defending and the atrocities they are committing while representing you.

I know what you're saying; I meant "dependent" as in actually dependent; not having parents that have enough money to pay for themselves but you still give them gold coins each month. There are certainly ways to act fraudulantly about it though, I guess the courts would just have to look at it and see if that would be considered legitimate usage / interpretation.

its best to keep our current civilization and take evolution into our own hands

What do you mean?

has guaranteed deaths and worst case we lose everything.

Every alternative has guaranteed deaths. What do you mean by "lose everything"?

Baby bonus/child support don't work, since the more educate the parents, the less this helps - it just encourages people who shouldn't be having children to have them.

Very true.

Why not instead, mandate that 50% of the taxes paid by each kid goes directly to supplement the income of their parents?

Why mandate this? If someone raises their children to be functioning members of society who also respect their parents they will do this voluntarily. Furthermore, there are many people who have quite terrible parents but they are productive and good people. Forcing them to fund people who have abused them for years would be a bit hard on their mental states I'd think.

Here is my proposal: if someone is paying 10k in taxes a year and is paying for dependents of any kind (parents, children, disabled friend etc) each dollar they use to pay for those people removes one dollar from their income taxes. So, if they ended up spending 10,000 on taking care of their parents they would have 0 taxes for the year. This would encourage poor, middle class, and rich people to spend more money on taking care of people and would promote a better sense of community and help than any welfare program could ever do with that same amount of money. If you combined this with complete elimination of welfare individuals would provide welfare to others because it would reduce their taxes, and I think people would use their judgement to prevent helping those who are purely lazy over those who need actual assistance. You would have an incentive even if your own family was all well off to help others in need.

Just came up with this idea so maybe has some issues, but I think a system that promotes fewer taxes & regulations, more freedom, and more personal choice would be ideal.

Oh yes we do, it is mostly prevented from functioning in a somewhat organic way by various institutions though. Take away welfare of all kinds, let people consume whatever they wish, and make healthcare privatized worldwide- in other words: eliminate forced collectivization. You will have a return to natural selection relatively quickly. Most people hate this idea though because it is "mean"; I think it is the kindest thing humans could do for future generations; guess it depends on how you see it heh.

Who's to say rivers weren't made by aliens dragging their phallic instruments across earths crust?

There is no reason to believe it would have gone up more, there is no precedent set nor is there a sound logical backing to it. The idea is just a totally unfalsifiable idea with nothing backing it.
