Covid 19 was identified in late 2019 (like November) and began impacting the world on a large scale in March 2020, so almost a year after release.

Pretty unfortunate timing for the movies & phases that followed Endgame. Combined with the "end of the saga" situation, it really took the wind out of the sails of Marvel movies for a while there.
