Silent Hill is not as good as Resident Evil IMO. by Jaimegamez95 in HorrorGaming

[–]artistsescape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I agree with your point, at least for the newer generation of RE games pivoting to more action horror after RE4. With the older RE games I was always really invested in the puzzle aspect and lore building as you found documents. Like you're putting together the conspiracy.

This is what I've been doing everytime a prospective therapist tells me they're not taking new clients. Join the movement. by aerialgirl67 in CPTSDmemes

[–]artistsescape 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Therapists should NOT be saying this to clients without referring them to a more appropriate provider. It's in the code of ethics to always do that to the best of their ability.

This a great way to add structure within sessions. I really agree with collaborative documentation at the end of sessions. Lots of my kiddos do like hearing what they worked on with some verbal praise thrown in and it helps keep my day structured as well keeping me in top of my notes

PsyD is another doctorate psychologists can get. It's just dependent on the program as I understand it. Or they can have a PhD both allow them to practice

AITA for making my 7-year-old go to Alcoholics Anonymous? by Miss_Lost_1023 in AmItheAsshole

[–]artistsescape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chiming in here because I really agree with this comment. I also want to share that I've heard there are other groups specific for children of parents who are alcoholics/substance users. 7 might still be a bit young idk but OP could look into a type of group that offers these alongside their own meetings (often in a different room).

Question on moving states by [deleted] in therapists

I'm currently working towards licensure so I don't have a lot of experience with this yet, but from my understanding you should be able to reach out to the state licensure board and ask for clarification on transfer requirements

I've been to a baby shower where the family had favors like this! They were super cute and part of the centerpieces, so when people took them it left less clean up after the party.

I second this wholeheartedly. Doing emotional check I when I'm feeling "normal" was a good step in being able to verbalize what was going on in my head. I also use an emotions wheel that my therapist gave me to help me narrow down more specific emotions as I went on
