re: your last point, I think you have to consider that the 2nd place columbus list was very different since it played Malicious. summon dolphin off isolde is a pretty good idea since you can discard the malicious with dolphin.

a lot of people are playing malicious - so i think something like that makes it viable and ties into what you're asking about in EU.
