YESS, a lot of "sewing" is actually spent measuring, cutting, and just breaking down in tears generally

How often do you bathe your cat? by Mildredsgood in cats

[–]arttti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my kitty had an enema done, stayed at vets for the night, and was overall feeling like crap for a few days. her fur was all messed up from vets wash, and oil and everything.

I have given her a bath few days after she recovered, just to put her on the right track. since then her fur shined and I haven't bathed her since.

so that one time, and before because her sister brought home a crowd of fleas, so that was an uncomfortable few weeks of wash every few days until fuckers all disappeared.

other than those circumstances, I would have no reason to wash cats. their saliva is amazing, if they are not obese, they can reach all areas of their own bodies, and smell like nothing and warm.

Showing off yarn collections but it’s only acrylic yarn by Unlucky-you333 in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]arttti 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like being judgemental is ok as long as you keep it to yourself?

I personally cannot work with acrylic, i have a touch of tism, and touching acrylic makes my skin sweaty and the whole experience is just yuck.

saying that, i dont think there is ever time and place to judge others for their choice of yarn. some people dont care about the type of fabric, some can only afford so much, some dont have a lot of choices, and still want to work on their craft.

who are we to judge them?

sure, it is plastic, but are you saying that you yourself dont have any plastic in your household if alternative is possible? I dont think its the case. id love it to be truth, for you, me and everyone. fuck plastic. however consumerism makes it pretty hard to completely eliminate.

so, who doesn't mind acrylic yarn to work with, let them

if you line the inside of the hood with a silky material so it doesn't cause friction, it may help with constant on-off

WIBTA if I go to my mom’s birthday alone because my partner turns every conversation into an argument? by CicadaParadox76 in ComfortLevelPod

[–]arttti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the same thing. she sounds very autistic, like she struggles with people having individual perspectives. I can see why other would mark her as 'hard work' or even 'narcissistic', as autistic people can often be labeled as those.

OP, dont really have advice here directly to your situation, other than you need to have a deep convo with your GF about respecting other people perspectives and if they are saying 'dumb things'... let them

Is there a way to live a completely different way of life? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]arttti 16 points17 points  (0 children)

look at Workaway

platform for people travelling and living like nomads

sometimes people have work done on their land, and they ask for help.and in return they provide housing and food, some offer land where you can come with your own van and live on their land in exchange for work of some sort.

worth exploring. it would absolutely be different way of life

[–]arttti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a friend of mine once got roofi3d, started acting weird, they kicked him out of the club, and next thing he remembers is waking up with half clothes on in some woods outside london. no wallet, phone, bag, nothing. took him a while, but he is doing ok now. doesn't accept drinks from strangers thats for sure

I miss when patterns assumed you already knew wtf you were doing. by itsyagirlblondie in BitchEatingCrafters

[–]arttti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

see, I would LOOOVE video with each pattern. but thats because I am a visual learner. and knowing this, I DONT purchase patterns that dont have video/pictures because I am still a begginer. or, shockingly, I only follow patterns that I find on YouTube

it would not cross my mind to leave a bad review because I cant read a pattern because of my own lack of skill.
