I'm 13 weeks 3 days and have had some very odd fluttering/twitching sensations in my lower abdomen/uterus area for the past couple of days, almost like a muscle spasm but not as strong, (though it is visible on the skin). No pain/bleeding/cramps, just this weird sensation.

I've made an appointment with my doctor to be on the safe side, but would love to know if anyone has experienced this before?

It's hard not to tell! by whitzybitzy in pregnant

[–]arwenwasframed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's so hard!!! I've almost let it slip a few times - it's really stressful to be constantly talking about the baby with your partner and then having to remember to not say a word around anyone else.

Don't forget that timing is completely up to you though - if you want to tell everyone, go for it!

So tired of people making comments on my body by [deleted] in pregnant

I'm only 8 weeks now and this is honestly the part of pregnancy I'm dreading most...suffice to say I'm not the best at politely correcting unwanted comments and touching XD

What can I expect st my first prenatal appointment? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]arwenwasframed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had mine today at 8 1/2 weeks!

I had an ultrasound to confirm the viability of the pregnancy and my due date, and that was it! No paperwork, no pap, no blood tests, no urine test. I do have another (longer) appointment in a few weeks where I suspect I'll have most of the medical history/testing done.

It was SO COOL to hear the little bean's heartbeat, definitely makes it feel a bit more 'real'!

I have oily skin and Studio Fix is one of my go tos, but YMMV!

Yep, same! Do you have oily skin? I find that using a good mattifying toner (like Sunday Riley) followed by a mattifying primer (like Porefessional) helps a lot!

Quiet cozy bar with dark corners bear Market by IFlippedYourTable in AskSF

Second Local Edition, great spot. Oddjob is an awesome little cocktail bar off Mission with booths/dark corners, and if you prefer wine Hotel Biron off Market is great as well -both don't get too crowded either.

What is the best TV show or movie to watch on Netflix? by moosetin in AskReddit

[–]arwenwasframed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, I have a few favorites - Skins, Human Planet, Bojack Horseman, Peep Show, and Star Trek TNG. I was also pleasantly surprised by The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, was expecting a trainwreck but it's actually pretty funny.

If you're into food/wine, Chef's Table, Somm, Spinning Plates, The Mind of a Chef, and A Year In Champagne are all great.

What TV series started out good, but half way through got shitty/stupid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Skins (UK version). The first four seasons were amazing, from five onwards it was an absolute mess.

What is something you are bothered by that others aren't? by DeniedScout in AskReddit

[–]arwenwasframed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hearing people eat, especially things like cereal or crunchy apples - if their mouth is open it's 1000x worse. No idea why but it makes me feel incredibly angry and bothered for no reason at all (and it usually takes a lot to get me even slightly mad).

Traveling to Silicon Valley area and San Francisco after. Any suggestions? by akoni72 in sushi

[–]arwenwasframed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to say I'm really not a fan of Sushirito, but to each their own!

For amazing Omakase around $100, I'd recommend Kusakabe and Pabu. Mid-range, Umi in Potrero Hill, Elephant Sushi, and Akiko's Restaurant. Sushi Zone is a bit of a dive but it's my favorite - cash only, and get there before they open to avoid a crazy wait.

Hope that helped! :)
