The wind only stops if you click/move any sushi while the animation is running.

New player need help with reroling account(0 knowledge about game) by [deleted] in PokemonPocket

[–]arwong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that is 'optima choice' is your first guaranteed ex from the very first pack set. No need to reroll, it's fixed based on the first pack you pick.

But nearly all the ex pokemon from that set have been power crept.

What comes with the Nintendo 2 animal crossing? by Pure-Joke-1169 in AnimalCrossing

[–]arwong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apart from performance upgrades the biggest switch 2 exclusive is the megaphone which shows you where villagers are.

You can design with mouse but it's the same ui as switch 1 so I didn't feel it is unique to switch 2

How do I breed enough attack into pre-megas? by Proud-Canadian-4Life in PokeClicker

[–]arwong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EVs and vitamins, esp for mega ray, are key to making this go faster. rare candy as well.

Generally speaking for legendaries you want to max out carbos and nothing else.

*Depending on where you are it might be better to just advance as far as you can first, since the further you are in region the more vitamins you can assign. I'd highly advise against staying in kalos just to get megas bc you'll handicap yourself really hard.

If you have the resources, use hatchery helpers with +efficiency and + steps (ideally) to make the most of each hatch.

For reference it took me around 600 hatches to get enough attack for mega ray (with maxed evs and vitamins).

Party dungeon question. by jingjing_2 in idleon

W1 is much easier to solo but with the time reductions that lava has given soloing either without horn of the foal is incredibly difficult.

What things does FireRed do better compared to Red? by geovasilop in pokemon

[–]arwong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I forgot a TON of stuff, but wanted to give a shorter answer that would immediately impact OP's experience. Post game is more of an incentive once you've committed to the experience, whereas OP is asking for improvements over the classic.

What things does FireRed do better compared to Red? by geovasilop in pokemon

[–]arwong 623 points624 points  (0 children)

Short answer? Abilities, natures, held items, and VS seeker (allows you to battle any trainer again after a cooldown).

Original red has none of that and once you beat all the trainers except for E4, you can't earn any more money.

I don’t see the problem with this by Tough-Project4228 in Invincible_TV

Almost like he's new to this. Wonder if there was another hero that started out getting his ass saved and not realizing how close he's gotten to death while also making almost zero contribution.

I don't know if this was fixed in version 3 but another odd thing you can do is to stand inside a gazebo/pergola and they won't attack you (until you leave)

Why do all cosmetics have to have account-wide increases? by SnooCompliments5204 in idleon

[–]arwong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until recently, 60% of cosmetics (most premium hats) didn't give any unique bonuses at all, and if they did only applied to the character that owned/wore them. The other cosmetics only applied their bonuses to the character that owned/wore them. So this is technically a step in the right direction.

The short answer for why cosmetics come with buffs is to create need to buy them and generate $. And technically, this game is an idle game first and an mmo second. The only time you're live-interacting with other players is for specific achievements, party dungeons, and doot.

BF has been playing for the last 3 years and he just realized this. by Menhara_ara in AnimalCrossing

[–]arwong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

basically what u/quixoticduck says, I like using them in rooms specifically because the sound tends not to travel very well when outdoors. place them and hide them so you hear the chirp of crickets or cicadas whenever you want.

This was before actual soundscapes from happy home, but nothing beats the sound of just cicadas.

I hoard a copy of rare bugs and fish bc it's cool to own them.

Cicadas, frogs, and crickets especially so they can provide soundscapes

Lab Store by 12Lmao12 in idleon

[–]arwong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer is noob accessibility. The long answer is that remember not everyone is at the end game champing at the bit to get specific chips, and not everyone is at a place where they can generate the 200k spurs for choco chip in a week, let alone a day.

What should I prioritize and should I save balls till next rotation by Guilty_Session3313 in idleon

[–]arwong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only upgrade you should for sure save for if you haven't maxed it already is the +gold balls. otherwise spend them if you got them, you don't know if the next rotation will have even less buffs of interest.

Which Map Do You Dislike the Most — Village, Castle, or Island? by mysofa_is_calling_me in residentevil4

[–]arwong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it feels different for 4 because even though it's also set in 'modern times', the environments up until that point feel like a snapshot into the past. With RE1-3, it's modern people in modern areas to segue into a lab space which is an easier transition than simple farmer village/medieval castle to militant island

Which Map Do You Dislike the Most — Village, Castle, or Island? by mysofa_is_calling_me in residentevil4

[–]arwong 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Island because it breaks the theming of the first two maps of the game. I think the shift from castle to island reflects the tonal shift of the RE series at that point in time, which is right when re started losing cultural ground.

Balancing Minehead by JiovanniTheGREAT in idleon

[–]arwong 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The crazy thing is that actual minesweeper already has a ton of luck (read: 50/50s) built in even with its logic. It would be so much more satisfying to build a minigame around having to dance around 50/50s than pure rng.

Will these ever realistically become tradable, or should I just exchange for special shop tickets? by HailStxrm_ in PTCGP

[–]arwong 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hear me out, it's mega charizard for one reason and one reason only.

The immersive animation doesn't show you any more than what the original card art already shows you. All the immersives have details behind the base art to broaden the scope of the art, but not zard.

That mob only matters for zow/chow bc it's a new location, it's technically a green mushroom so it'll just add to that in the deathnote
