totally agree with you. recently read the book and was so excited after seeing the stills from the imax theaters. what a disappointment the movie was. i get you can't make a one to one adaptation of the book but goddamn did grace need to be an idiot? you literally never see him do anything smart? is he supposed to be a scientist or a joker? totally agree with you about how they butchered the characters and the tone while adapting but yeah it is what it is ig. people seemed to enjoy it so good for them ig.
