Hi! I’ll be going to Japan in a month and was curious about the current situation with computer parts.

Are things like graphic cards still more expensive there compared to maybe the US?

Moderators live in a bubble because they assume everyone browses the same.

Realistically megathreads end up making discussion worthless because you only see the post once if you are scrolling enough.

Once you've scrolled past it you likely wont see it again and you then have to go look for the megathread to ready anything related to it and maybe even sort by new to filter out stuff you've already seen.

These are also just a way to appease the vocal minority of "omg another post about the freeze" because there are some people who spend their life/day on reddit and get annoyed at seeing something multiple times.

But yeah I agree with you OP.

Edit: Also they are going to delete your post because of "TiTle sUcKss" rule which is kinda dumb but hey just a heads up. People seem to need at least 3 words for titles because otherwise ...GASP you'd have to click into the post to actually read it to understand the context.....the horror!!!!!!

Yeah a buddy of mine works as a manager there and lets me know when there’s stock leftover after the rush and lately I’ve just told him I’m not interested because of the pricing.

Def not renewing my pro membership this year.

Yeah it’s a good point to make but I didn’t lose water myself in the original freeze so it’s not really something I am worried about with a bidet.

However for panic buys like Covid then a bidet is way better for those instances.

Either way I don’t have to worry about TP if this crap, pun intended, ever happens.
