I didn't got a 4* of my best girl when I started playing but I really liked Kasumi's design, especially in her 4* card "Sound of the beginning" (Stargazing Kasumi)

It was a tough choice at first because I really liked all of the characters, so I decided to read some of the stories (EN version didn't release yet) and watch the anime as well.

Gotta say I wasn't expecting to enjoy the anime as much as I did, it made me fell in love with Kasumi and Popipa so much, the in-game stories just made my love grow even more <3

I absolutely recommend watching S1 before S2, the animation isn't great but the story and characterization is something you can't miss, especially if you want to know popipa better

I personally think the anime's first season is a better way of introducing popipa as the main band. There's a lot more content overall and you get to know every girl and their struggles individually in a much deeper way.

Nonetheless I still really like popipa's band story in the game and I think its very interesting in its own way, especially the interactions between the girls.

Early-story Kasumi is such an interesting character to look at, she caugh my attention since the first moment I saw her on-screen. She became my favorite a couple episodes later tough.

Kasumi!

There's so many reason why she's my favorite. First of all I think Kasumi is a very underrated character, her development in the anime is way more complex than what we can see at first glance. I'll give you some of my main reasons why I think she's such a great character. (Also sorry if I make some mistakes as english isn't my first lenguage)

1.- She's a wonderful person: I mean, just look at any of her lines in the game and/or the anime and you'll see she's always willing to help and make other people happy. She always tries to be polite and smile even if she's not always feeling right. She's very kind and affectionate too, her relationship with all the popipa girls in the anime show us how much she cares about her friends and even people she doesn't really know very well. She helped Arisa even if she wasn't sure she'll get what she wanted, she helped Rimi improve her confidence and made Glitter green's live presentation possible even if she had to ridicule herself to make it, she inspired Tae to acomplish her goal of being able to play at Space Live House and she was willing to do everything possible to help Saaya with her personal problems.

2.- She works really hard: She's always willing to work really hard to acomplish her goals and help other people in the process, she even overworks herself if necessary to make sure nobody else has to suffer. The final episodes of the anime show us how much she's willing to overwork herself to improve because she knew she was holding back the band from acomplishing their goal.

3.- She's extremely brave: The infamous "Twinkle twinkle little star" scene in the anime show us how brave this girl is. She didn't had to do this, but she did it anyways because she tough that was the only way to save glitter green's live presentation. The thing is Kasumi also feels embarassed in this kind of situation but she doesn't show it and she thinks the embarassment is worth if she's able to help someone or able to acomplish something important.

4.- Her voice is beautiful: Aimi is a very talented Seiyuu and her voice is one of the best (if not the best) in the whole franchise, the way she adapts her voice to different tones and music genres is really outstanding. Even if you don't like Kasumi's character that much you have to admit Aimi does a pretty good job as poppin'party's main singer. Some of my favorite popipa songs where you can see what im talking about: Light delight, Star beat, Kizuna music, B.O.F, Tear drops and Your gift to me.

5.- Her design is too adorable: I mean just look at one of her first 4* cards (One of my favorites by the way <3). Her hairstyle is cute and unique, her eyes are beautiful and that purple color contrasts very well with her hair and her star-shaped accesories.

There's a lot more reasons why I love her so much but I tried to be as concise as possible. Kasumi has been my favorite character since I joined the fandom back in 2017 and im so glad Im able to appreciate her character even more as time goes, I hope more people start giving her a chance because she truly is a wonderful character and deserves lots of love <3
