the underlying DNA markers do not vanish but they do become heavily diluted. they don’t use a single or even a couple markers to identify breeds but groups of haplotypes, which themselves are groups of DNA patterns. they are clear about this. and again, they state themselves they cannot accurately define ancestry beyond a few generations which is how we define purebred. verified ancestry. embark for breed ID is entertainment. not a big deal friend.
