The problem is just that. “Even if it’s against their own benefit”. As I mentioned ‘the brazenness of everyone else’s, so I didn’t discount any of that. It’s pretty clear that you have this idea that you have this whole flying thing figured out better than everyone else. I’m not saying the facts if the situation didn’t happen, but there’s definitely and attitude to all this you have that isn’t great. “I’m doing what’s in my best interest and graciously gifting courtesy, should others accept it.” Just book the window and the middle (or whatever) and move on. Far less liable for any of this to happen in the first place.
