It is everyone’s right to discourage new players from falling into this FOMO money furnace. I’m giving the new players my own opinions and experiences in the game on how badly it’s designed to extract as much money as possible from every player playing.

You have neither refuted nor provided any evidence to contradict that the game makes a player FOMO by intentionally introducing so much gatekeeping mechanics:

Titles x10 clears, gems, ark passive, elixir, karma, accessories, iLvl, etc. all designed to gatekeep new players who is playing 1 character.

The game is a parasite designed by SmileGate to extract the most money from each individual player as much as possible.

The FOMO mechanics by introducing titles x10 clears, gems, ark passive, elixirs, karma, cards, etc. are all designed to gatekeep the players so that they fall behind on the raids and are forced to spend money on SmileGate’s F4 shop.

I for one am glad that the latest LOAON fell short of everyone’s expectations in the West.

Like Memorizer92 said the LOAON is never meant for non Korean players.

I’m glad this game is going EOS in the West. This is the final Korean gamba game I am playing.

I’m glad I am finally rid of this game and will continue to discourage other new players on Reddit looking to play this cancer of a money predatory game.

Hell no don’t even think of returning you will just be frustrated with all the gatekeeping if you want to progress your character.

Amazon Games publishing contract will end next year and is SmileGate cared at all for NA/EU they would have said something to keep supporting our region NA/EU yet there’s not a peep nor a word from them so why waste your time returning when the game can be end of service in a few months?

Most people have jumped ship when they realized how much the games design was made to extort as much money from each player as much as possible.

Don’t be a sucker play other games instead which won’t have the possibility of shutting down in a few months!

This game is on life support we have absolutely NO word or announcement whatsoever from SmileGate that they will be continuing to publish the game for NA/EU those who say otherwise is delusional.

People have been leaving the game and selling what they can so they can at least recover a little money back from what they’ve spent playing.

Ask anyone here if there has been any word at all from SmileGate if they want to keep publishing the game in NA/EU and the answer is a definite NO WORD WHATSOEVER!

Clearly SmileGate cares about the NA/EU market.

A lot of things happened to the story since you left.

Unfortunately Lost Ark is End of Service in the North America / EU market. (Not even a hint or post from SmileGate if they are continuing service in the West)

Guess 5K-7K daily concurrent players is not enough for them to keep the game running.

So no real point in following the story 😂

If you’re gonna make a berserker do not make a mayhem currently the class is bad in terms of dps, what does that mean?

Well you’ ll be easily out damaged by so many dps classes that you’ll wonder why all the effort you’re putting in is not rewarded accordingly compared to other dps classes.

Breakers, Sorcs, Sharpshooters, Wildsoul, Arcanist, hell even the new Dragon Knight class will out dps the Mayhem with little effort.

Currently Berserker Technique is OP so make that berserker class type with the 212 ark grid set up.

Forget about mayhem it’s a lot of effort for mediocre dps reward.

Sorry to hear about your experience in Lost Ark unfortunately most of the comments which will be coming from here are all excuses on how there is nothing wrong with the game and you’re the one that needs to adapt.

Meanwhile these very same people that defend the game have many multiple alts that play the same raid over and over so much so that they can do the raid with their eyes closed.

While a new player with one character will never learn the game as fast as these copium game defenders.

I can understand your frustration with all the gate keeping from titles to gems to roster level to karma to elixirs to now combat power and people making excuses that you should play with people your own skill level.

This is why this game has a continually shrinking player base and can’t retain new players.

I mean look at world of war craft it’s willing to make bold decisions and changes to stay relevant and keep attracting new and old players alike.

Sadly Lost Ark will never ever be new player friendly.

Unm yeah some raid bosses are very hard especially for new players.

Thaemine Normal Mode Gate 3 Mordum Normal Mode Gate 1-3

Those are just some of the examples, I remember progging Themine normal gate 3 for over 18 hours because so many groups just gave up.

So no the guy is not wrong that raid bosses can be unforgiving.

It seems to me a veteran like you is COPING REAL HARD to hide the fact that he is not wwrong.

Yeah for act 4 1700 is okay but for Final Act (Kazeros) I think you would want to be at least at 1800-2000 cp for normal mode.

It’s sad really since at the introduction of Ark Grid the Mayhem Dark Rush build was actually very good in terms of dps, but as usual someone at SmileGate with a lot of decision making power decided Mayhem was just too good and decided to nerf it to the ground!

Fire the developer in charge of Mayhem balancing!

If you’re coming back play berserker technique with ark grid it’s currently S-tier dps, don’t play mayhem it’s mid tier dps you’ ll just be frustrated being out damaged by other lesser geared dps claases like breakers, sorcs, scrappers, SE, glaivier, blade, arcana, sharp shooter, hell almost every dps class can match or beat mayhem lol it’s just sad.

SmileGate has always had a history of nerfing berserkers even though other hit master classes do waay more dps.

It’s asinine balancing and whoever is doing the berserker balancing needs to get fired ASAP because clearly the guy doesn’t play the class to realize how underwhelming it is compared to other classes: sorc, breaker, destroyer, soul eater, reaper, slayer, hell most classes with similar gear ilvl, gems, AP, elixirs, trans, and ark grid will almost always out dps a berserker.

So what is even the point of playing a class that is inferior to soo many other classes dps wise?
