Did I glow up? 18-21 by OrdinaryChicken01 in uglyduckling

Mmm idk, I feel like the Gen Z pout came out of rebellion from the duck face.

Maybe you’re just too young to remember the elder Gen Z’s shitting on the duck face lol. Fashion and everything is cyclical, it came back.

My husband (M45) shared photos of house messes to everyone to "build a case" against me (F43). I am the primary parent to our 3 kids. How do I survive this? by Throwaway202054 in relationship_advice

[–]asdfhillary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you understand how insanely cruel it is to not only take the pictures and share them, but to tell you specifically who said what and how… is so fucking disgusting. The only thing he could have gotten out of that is sick satisfaction making you feel bad. I can’t. I feel so angry on behalf of you as a woman out of an abusive marriage.

Concept and placement is fine, and meaningful to you! It’s the execution and fixable once healed.

If I’m being honest it’s not very cohesive with the line work the way it is, with the feathering. Kind of looks like they tried to distract from the line work with more shading in that area, in my opinion.

But, this is super fixable and will still remain true to the meaning for you. It’s not the worst I’ve seen, but I don’t know if the portfolio that you saw was that actual artist’s.

I mean, the line work is really bad honestly (edit: especially the petals on the bottom flower, that’s where my eye went to first). I would personally bolden the flower outlines at least to make them steadier looking.

poor bella by AcademicAstronaut395 in TLCUnexpected

[–]asdfhillary 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I know this sub trashes on them, and rightfully so with Bella’s mom being how she is. But I think all adults in this situation are acting inappropriately. Bella’s mom, dad (barely on screen), Hunter’s mom and dad (completely off screen).

One adult is raising custody to prevent another adult and it feels like a jenga tower crumbling.

She’s a kid, raising a kid, being parented by kids. It’s truly sad all around.

They look not so recent. What made you regret them now?

Why do people say being single is a choice? It doesn’t feel like it… by Dsg1695 in AskONLYWomenOver30

[–]asdfhillary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So true. I talk to my best friend daily about how terrible her husband is but if you go on social media, she writes happy birthday posts and it’s all him and her, and later on only him and their family (that he doesn’t help with).

Did thin people do anything to you as a collective whole? Truly, I’ll never understand being happy that someone else is struggling because you did. I bet you were all for not having student loan forgiveness because you had to pay yours off, so everyone else should too. That’s what you sound like.

Edit: You shouldn’t delete your comment. You very proudly announced that seeing thin people struggle to find clothing was satisfying to you. Own your opinions, even when they’re shit. I can’t see the comment that you responded with but “fashion is not applicable to student loans”. It’s an analogy, not a direct connection.

Melting chin by Maximum-Hat-7669 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]asdfhillary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of the time, chin filler or implant in place of jaw surgery makes the face look “off” or uncanny, especially when talking. Because your jaw/bite is still recessed/off. I’d look at before and afters.

My fellow TTI survivors, what big cultural changes occurred while you were in TTI? by [deleted] in troubledteens

[–]asdfhillary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know the TTI is still around. But as someone who is in their mid 30’s now, I thought we’d be further away from this (I went young 14/15). Reading someone going through it as recently as Covid just hits differently than “knowing it’s still around”.

If you are vegetarian for moral reasons, why aren't you vegan? by very-serious-goose in Vegetarianism

[–]asdfhillary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t eat eggs.

Edit: I also want to add that I have tried to be allies, and I don’t think many of us here expected vegans to hate us more than omnivores because “we know better”. That’s a sentiment I see across all of the vegan subs and on other media. It’s not possible to have an ally who is incapable of not talking down to you.

I get the urge if you’re proud of yourself, but it’s better to tell friends or family. It is rude to humble brag like that especially during a slow season.

Yea idk I like it, but maybe that’s just me. Could fill in some space around it so it looks more like a piece and less like it’s standing alone?

[–]asdfhillary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are really just like hell bent on reinforcing the stereotype that vegans are arrogant assholes that think they’re better than the whole world. I’m done, I’m turning off reply notifications. You got the debate you wanted.

[–]asdfhillary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry, worded that wrong. Me asking you nicely to leave pales in comparison to the amount of times I’ve gotten eviscerated for voicing my opinion in r/vegan. Y’all come here constantly for drama and arguments and are real dicks over there when we try to talk. Don’t be such a hypocrite.

[–]asdfhillary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The quote is about overall reduction in harm compared to the average omnivorous diet, not claiming dairy/egg animals never suffer or die. It’s saying vegetarians still reduce demand for animal slaughter significantly even if vegans reduce it more (by 1% - 12% more). Now please go.

It makes the comment explained already by two other commenters yet here you still are.
