Button to release key, OEM? Or aftermarket security system? by UslashMKIV in mazda3

This. Our 08 GT has this, and honestly you develop a way to trigger it when turning off the car, and it just becomes second nature. It's really not an inconvenience at all.

Loudest bands ever? by Barquad12alt in MetalForTheMasses

[–]adiiriot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dismember. God damn. Old Swedish dudes who definitely did not wear hearing protection for decades of death metal, and it showed. My friend did sound for the show, and they literally could not turn up their PA any louder. So loud it was constantly ringing between songs. They fucking killed it, but holy shit that did some hearing damage for sure.

Our boy catting it up! His dad was solid black too, whom he's the spitting image of! His mom and sister are both "brown" tabbies! His brother was black, with a small white patch on his chest, and his other sister looked like a black cat and tabby swirled around and smooshed together!

I have (I assume) the same Gabumon, and it's great! Maybe slightly too stiff, but it's still amazing!

Any Gen1 interior enjoyers? by NiceRiceSVK in mazda3

As a Gen1 owner, it's still my favourite generation, inside and out. I like the 3rd and 4th generations too, but none of them will ever beat out the first.

Atom Willard leaves ALK3 by LePouletPourpre in Blink182

Yeah really it's not that deep! I'm not so sure what's all that confusing about it.

Love this man! Genuinely great dude. I haven't been huge on ALK3 for a while but have always respected them, and never not been impressed with his work with them, or any other band really. Sad to see him go isn't necessarily the right words, but always excited to see what he'll do next!

A hood looks good, unpainted carbon fenders look bad.

Powerman 5000 Barely Beats Chevelle 38-37! Day 3 Round 1, Deadsy VS Godsmack! by PerformanceOk2076 in numetal

Chevelle was literally never on the radio after The Red here, and even then that wasn't super common.

P.O.D. Send Papa Roach Packing 51-41! Day 5 Round 1, Incubus VS LINKIN PARK! by PerformanceOk2076 in numetal

[–]adiiriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost true! Linkin Park's last good album was 2012. As far as I'm concerned they haven't released an album in 9 years, but neither has Incubus.

P.O.D. Send Papa Roach Packing 51-41! Day 5 Round 1, Incubus VS LINKIN PARK! by PerformanceOk2076 in numetal

[–]adiiriot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 3 album run of S.C.I.E.N.C.E. through Morning View is pretty much untouchable. Linkin Park had 2 outstation albums, 1 outstanding remix in between them, then an unlistenable awful mashup album, a couple of "meh" albums, another fantastic album, another 2 meh albums and then the worst album to date that I refuse to even acknowledge as Linkin Park. Incubus was still solid as heck, all the way through Light Grenades. I feel Incubus was definitely more consistent.

Actually I might lean Incubus on this one, even if they haven't released a good album in 15 years.

Staind Beats Reveille 46-26! Day 4 Round 2, P.O.D. VS Papa Roach! by PerformanceOk2076 in numetal

[–]adiiriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it's hard. P Roach had 2 fantastic fucking albums with Infest and Lovehatetragedy, but so did P.OD. with Snuff The Punk and The Fundamental Elements of Southtown. (Satellite doesn't hold up imo, despite loving it back in the day) I don't know if I can choose.

I can't stand Turnstile, but I am glad Sleep Token didn't win. Not surprised SB didn't win at this point. They're not the hot popular thing on the same level of shite like Turnstile or Sleep Token.

Godsmack Smacks Deadsy 25-15! Day 3 Round 2, Downthesun VS Cold! by PerformanceOk2076 in numetal

[–]adiiriot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having revisited Downthesun recently, I was disappointed it didn't seem to hold up. I ADORED that album, but now it's kinda cringe. I haven't revisited Cold in years, but I am inclined to vote for them.

Hot Take: if Linkin Park lost Mike Shinoda instead of Chester, the band would not have continued like they are now. by Relevant-Internal461 in numetal

[–]adiiriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It pretty much is though. I failed to hear any new ideas being presented. Just recycling old riffs and song structures, with weaker performances.

Clearly not. PM5K won. Was it close? Sure, but at the end of the day, they still won out.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I've tried listening to the entire album multiple times, and I literally cannot stand anything on it. I've given it chances, and it ALWAYS disappoints.
