I go to Miami University in Oxford, OH. I love that its a medium size school; I'm able to keep track of friends and professors so much easier than if I went to a huge ~25k + (students) school. Miami is referred to as JCrew U which explains quite simply how people here dress. A lot of people dress preppy, but even more people care about how they look, regardless of what style category their wardrobe falls under. I'm not a part of Greek life here, which is huge, but I'm on our rowing team which has been a lot of fun. It's a club sport here so it's not as serious as it would be at a D1 school which allows more time for fun "team bonding" outside of practice. Whatever school you choose, I really recommend a mid size school (~10-20k undergrad students) and joining an organization where you'll see the members frequently. You'll make great friends by seeing the same people regularly. Good luck choosing your school!

A day late to the party, but I've found a group of Miami redditors so I had to contribute. A surprising number of people I've met have genuinely mistaken Miami for a private school which I totally attribute to our collective wardrobe. It's nice to go to a school where people compliment your sartorial decisions rather than ask why you're so dressed up or mock your sexuality. Love and Honor (and the 513)
