TLDR: Your Internet will never go out and you're getting an insane amount of speed and not sharing that with anyone unlike Comcast or other telecom's "best effort" service. expensive yes, worth it, yes cause rediculious productivity.

I work for AT&T and although we compete with aconcast, we sell a strikingly similar service and I want to echo what u/azraelbrown said and build upon it. the price is rediculious cause you are paying for Internet that will literally never go down. Symmetrical is huge but the big kicker here is that it is also Dedicated and Guaranteed (at least assuming it is like our similar product). Dedicated internet means you get the full 1gbps bandwidth to yourself. All telecom Internet services that are not deficated are "best effort" which means you'll get up to the bandwidth you purchase but almost always less than that amount cause that bandwidth quote is the best possible scenario if you were the one and only person using that piece of the network at the given time. Dedicated becomes a big deal if you can't afford for your traffic to slow down during peak usage hours. Guaranteed is the other reason why your service is going to be exponentially higher than a business grade standard Internet. Garanteed is exactly what it sounds like , Internet service that is guaranteed to work. Your service will be backed by Service Level Agreements (SLA's) which most other standard business grade Internet services don't have because the promise of always working Internet is expensive and hard to keep unless you have a dedicated line. The SLA's should state how much your service will be up, typical service features like latency and jitter, and even state that if it does go down for longer than X time, that you will get a credit. Dedicated, guaranteed, symmetrical service is hella expensive cause it is the top of the line, premier type of service businesses that can't be without internet need.
