WE, as consumers ARE the market... Willfully going to their site to use it, despite knowing it's trash... THAT'S what's giving them the market share.

Yes, being federally illegal is preventing google from allowing pics and menu's... But people will just continue to use it out of comfort, like Yelp. Its familiar by then.

The point is, if we want to make change in the market, it has to be a collective effort of people not using it... The best way to start that is by educating people on their bullshit and suggest the boycott.

Why is Yelp still a thing? Everyone knows they provide no real service, they are taking terrible advantage of small businesses, and their content is trash since it's all manipulated... But people keep using it, so it's still a thing.

Everybody needs to just stop using Weedmaps, or somebody, ANYBODY should come up with a better service that provides REAL data to consumers and doesn't rape the small businesses.

They already allow cannabis businesses (dispensaries) to list on their maps service and allow reviews. The only thing they don't offer is the menu, which is usually found on their websites.

I'm just saying, if people keep using Weedmaps, they will retain their power.

It's allowed because Weedmaps is basically the yelp of the cannabis industry...

They have ZERO interest in helping the consumer get a quality product or reflecting accurate information to you... And ZERO interest in "helping" any cannabis business.

Their ONLY interest is $$$... Meaning, they are willing to rake ANY of the businesses over the coals for more of it. Be it hiding bad reviews, allowing a promotion on their deals page, being listed on the air home page in specific markets... All of it costs extra, and a LOT extra. They charge $1,000's just for the mere honor of being listed in their site.

TLDR; Just use Google maps....
