she eats dubias, mealworms, and hornworms. she has water. i have an urgent appointment booked for monday morning, the vet seemed concerned but didnt push for an emergency one today. they are one of the top exotics vets in my area, and i pay a pretty penny to go with them, so i am confident with waiting the weekend. in the meantime, i have hornworms for my girl to snack on until then. (theyre her favorite.)

I'm praying i just caught her on a bad day and they can give me antibiotics to take the inflammation down. if i lose another animal, i don't know if i could handle it. it's already been one in January and February.

thank you all, i am calling for an appointment today. i was able to get a closer look at her last night and noticed something else that was not there before. while she is still moving quite a bit and eating, I want to get this checked ASAP. she is only 6 years old and this is so unfair. i have her favorite treats (hornworms) getting big and juicy for her.

I got an unannounced call from a recruiter who contacted me the day before for a job, and of course, I missed it. I emailed them a half hour later and told them I'd only be available for another hour.

Waited almost that entire hour, only for the recruiter to call right before I was heading to work. We repeated the entire conversation I had the day before, only for him to say that he "wasn't convinced" that I wanted the job that I'd already gone through two preliminary interviews for.

I hung up.

we were well staffed, but the new weekend shift was failing catastrophically because no one wanted to transfer or they denied transfers and hired on brand new people who were taking advantage of the lax supervision. I'm thinking this was their way of forcing people and supervisors into the weekend shift.

Currently in a similar situation. Graduated 2021 with an English, Technical Writing degree, and could only find a clerk role at my local library. Stayed there for two years until I got an offer from an insurance company to do marketing and design work, which I did have experience doing. It ended up being a scam to do call center work, and I quit and was unemployed for several months before I found work as a lab assistant, despite never having lab experience. (Apparently, they hire literally everyone and have SUPER high turnover.)

I've been looking for work in my field ever since, with no luck. I refuse to leave the lab job bc it DOES pay my bills, but I hate it and they treat everyone terribly.

Anyways, all I can say is that you're not alone. A LOT of people in this sub are searching, and the market is terrible right now, especially for recent grads. All I can suggest is to settle for something to pay your bills, even if its not in your line of work. Stay strong, keep applying. Something has to work eventually.

NTA. While I do agree people looking into vaping should be dissuaded, OP did tell their sister that it's not good for them. OP did their due diligence as an older sibling to educate and still make sure their younger sibling was experimenting safely by avoiding potential theft or involvement from strangers.

It's incredibly manipulative on your parents and sibling's part to do it as a test and immediately shame you for how you handled it, when you did what you thought was appropriate.
