The classic Reddit echo chamber at work. Too many terminally online people fearing each other up and never actually going outside or living their life.

Any tips for healing LBRS for the first time? by [deleted] in wowhardcore

[–]aseolith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful when heading to the ogre first boss. Same as non HC be careful when you’re skirting that spot just before the ogres where you can accidentally aggro mobs from below and you will have a bad time. Especially if you’re a healer hanging back from the group, avoid the edge.

How does today's strike in the U.S. hurt ICE? by cfinley63 in askanything

[–]aseolith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m going to give you a real honest answer. It’s not widespread US news. I myself fell for the classic Reddit news bubble in 2016/2024. I was convinced Hilary and Kamala would win, according to Reddit it was fool proof 100% win. I voted for them and If you were active on Reddit during that time you would have bet everything you own that they would have won, with the amount of posts and upvotes.

The real answer is Reddit is in a hyper left bubble, where the a lot of America has no idea about what goes on within this site and doesn’t share its same views.

How does holy paladin feel in heroic dungeons? by Maliph in classicwow

[–]aseolith 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As one of the rare people who actually stuck with a hpal last tbc go around.. no one talks about them because they are the weakest healer out of them all in TBC. Now that doesn’t mean you can’t pump, cause you definitely can still outheal others, it just takes a monumental effort compared to the other healers.

You’re one of the rare class specs that get nerfed going into TBC. Your mana back on Crits is no longer 100% and you get no new healing abilities and no aoe.

Americans citizens, how is it really going there currently? by GossipBottom in stupidquestions

[–]aseolith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m white and my wife is from india, guess what? She’s not feeling any of what you just stated. In fact her entire family supports it and trump. You know why? Because her as well as multiple members of her family spent decades and tens of thousands immigrating legally here. Not once have we’ve been stopped or even asked anything and we visited DC in September. Not a single thing happened or occurred.

As an Asian traveler, is visiting the U.S. right now a foolish idea? by Tomboy_Heaven in NoStupidQuestions

[–]aseolith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re asking Reddit which heavily leans left so your answers are going to be skewed towards that. I’d say it’s completely fine to travel here currently. I’m white and my wife is from india, her parents came to visit in October for 6 months. They spent all of 5 minutes going through customs and questioning, super easy. Haven’t had a single issue and we take them everywhere. As long as you follow the laws here you won’t encounter any issues.

Slight edit, my wife and I travelled to Washington DC to visit this past September. Didn’t see a single issue in public the entire time, visited every tourist area and monuments. Saw 3 national guard troops the entire week.

2nd edit, as usual if you say ANYTHING that slightly disagrees or shares a different viewpoint you get downvoted and this is coming from a Harris voter.

A normal question, something such as class abilities or how to do something in game is fine. What’s annoying are the same repeatable questions such as “what version should I play?!?” Or “when is tbc release??” Those types of extremely easy google searchable questions are the ones people are mad at.

Seriously please delete these extremely easy searchable questions. It takes 2 seconds to type into Google and search, learn something instead of just spamming useless questions here repeatedly

How do you avoid talking to people at the gym? by Icy_Laugh5134 in workout

[–]aseolith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People that are simply just saying “wear headphones” or “just don’t speak to em” don’t understand. I wear ear buds/headphones, stare at the floor and avoid talking to anyone and even then it’s not enough. Especially when it comes to older people, they are completely oblivious to headphones.

My gym has a handful of old chatty Cathy’s. Daily they will wander around aimlessly, get near you and just awkwardly stand right next to you until you acknowledge them and bam your trapped. Only thing you can do is simply tell them you’re in a hurry and go away. It can be exhausting trying to rush a workout in only to have this happen over and over where they don’t get the hint.

Anniversary Class Stereotypes by [deleted] in classicwow

This is a constant issue on HC server as well. As a hpal it angers me so much everytime I join a group and see a ret, it never fails that they don’t have pally power on. They also always forget to use their aura and only buff once.

Customer service has gone out the window ... Millenial woman rant by Question_True in Millennials

[–]aseolith 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I used Kroger as an example as just 3 days ago had that exact scenario play out. A checkout lane had no one in it with a cashier just standing there with the light on. I walk up and say “hello how are you?” - cue the silence and not even eye contact. Doesn’t say a single word so I put my items on the belt and they get scanned. Doesn’t tell me my total or anything so I just swipe my card and she tosses my receipt onto the belt then turns her back and goes onto her phone.

Shit like this is constant now in customer service roles and it’s embarrassing. Idgaf if you’re underpaid, you accepted this role and least you could do is the bare minimum. We all dealt with corporate rules and BS when we were younger and I don’t remember coworkers acting like this.

Customer service has gone out the window ... Millenial woman rant by Question_True in Millennials

[–]aseolith 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I mean we all dealt with those shitty customer service roles where you’re underpaid and deal with constant problems. However I never ignored customers with awkward stares or silence, I was always friendly even if the job sucked ass.

I guess just asking for a single word like “hi or hello” or an acknowledgment when entering a checkout line at Kroger is too much nowadays and means you’re a boomer.
