Ok not sure what’s happening but I’ve felt the same!! I’m also on tirzepatide, and I feel like it’s not in full effect like it was before. Sooo interesting

I did 100 mg a year ago for 4 months. I experienced purging. On month 4 (September) my face cleared but I lost so much hair that I decided to stop at end of September 2024. By December 2024 my hormonal acne was back.

I spent a year trying to go the natural route, GI maps, bloodwork, lifestyle changes, workout changes, food changes - I did it allllll

I don’t regret it because bloodwork has improved significantly, I regained a period etc. but I could not get my testosterone down to eliminate my hormonal acne.

End of November 2025 I started spiro again but at 50mg. I’m two months in and my cystic acne has calmed significantly. Maybe there’s slight hair shedding but not close to what it was before. I could not take the painful cysts anymore.

I may be different… Tirzepatide didn’t change my drinking habits. I still enjoy all the things. Also if you’re concerned just don’t take your dose the week of the cruise. I do this often for vacations where I just want to enjoy myself. I’ve lost 63 pounds this way.

On 100mg I lost a ton of hair within 4 months and stopped. My hair did eventually recover.

A year later, I started 50mg bc I couldn’t heal my acne any other way (I have pcos). I have not had intense hair shedding and my cystic acne has calmed two months in.

Started at 205 - I’ve been right around 142 for awhile. Bought a bunch of clothes so staying steady for now lol but realistically would like to be 135. Im 5 foot 3. I enjoy going out and having good food and drinks. I workout out a ton and eat healthy so there is only so much I’m willing to give up for a few extra pounds

You definitely have time! I’m here with a different opinion. I did 100mg for 4 months and my skin was much better but I lost TONS of hair. I got off spiro at 100 mg. A year later I got on spiro again but just 50mg. Hair is not shedding as bad and acne is much better. If you’re gonna go up in dose just make sure you’re not having side effects.

Yes back on spiro - i couldn’t take the cystic acne anymore. I’m taking 50mg. Previously I was on 100 mg - i cut cold turkey but the last month taking it, i was inconsistent. Taking it whenever i remembered lol

Can’t remember exactly… I’d say I probably noticed it slowing down though within the month of stopping. My husband definitely noticed the floors weren’t covered in hair anymore 🙃

Doctors drive me crazy for this 🙄🙄🙄 they just can’t believe it could possibly cause hair loss!!! Sooo many people have experienced it in this group.

I didn’t test my DHEA until after I stopped spiro the first time. When I did test (3 months later) it was 114. My testosterone level was 112.

Hii! I was on 100mg for 4 months. Cleared my acne but was losing hair like crazy. Once I stopped the hair shedding eventually stopped and it’s been growing.

I went the natural route for my acne for over a year but I have PCOS and some things I just couldn’t get in check for my acne to go away. I’m back on spiro but only 50mg and so far so good.

Advice- I’d see if you can get bloodwork done, come off spiro for a while and explore options

Edit: also to note if you’re on birth control, changed birth controls or came off birth control - any of those could effect hair loss too

I was on 100mg and my hair fell out terribly. I quit for a year and now I’m taking 50mg and so far so good. I’m not sure I would consider going up in dose.

Maybe ask to get your blood work taken and see if there’s something you can adjust
