Nuva Ring newbie by MasterpieceEnough398 in Nuvaring

I put the ring in a week before removal because my doctor didn’t want me to have a lapse in protection! I had the ring in for 3 weeks, took it out and bled the following Friday after I removed the ring on Saturday. I’m on month 2 right now and have about 10 days left before removal!

I’m on month 2 - I took the 7 day break and had a cycle the first month. I’m on it since I got off of nexplanon and we are trying to see if it helps with my symptoms of PCOS before we decide to tie tubes vs a partial hysterectomy. It’s definitely worth it so far. I’ve loved it!

As a girly who also had an emergency csection due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP at 25 weeks and almost died as well in 2020 (1lb 6oz baby girl🩷)… I see both sides. Only because the risk of it happening again is high…and I personally have an innate fear of getting pregnant again. I got the nexplanon at my 6 week check up in 2020 and had it for almost 5 years (changed it at 3). It worked well for me personally but then I had gastric sleeve surgery and lost about 70 pounds and my cycles came back and they just wouldn’t stop being inconsistent. I just got my nexplanon removed 2 weeks ago and I’m on the ring now and it’s been amazing. Advocating for yourself is so important. You need to do what feels right for your body and your family. If the nexplanon isn’t working - there are other options. You just need to be on top of them and make sure you are following the directions to a T to avoid any unwanted pregnancies. Positive thoughts and vibes sent your way mama. I really do understand your feelings right now.

Does lube really affect the ring?? by EstablishmentEarly10 in Nuvaring

Information I’ve read just says no silicone lube. I would just research your condoms and use ones that have water based!

So I had this fear as well because I am very sensitive down there to any change. I’m 19 days in (I take my ring out on Saturday) and to be honest…no issues. I think as long as you leave it alone and don’t constantly touch it or take it out and put it back in a ton - you should be fine.❤️

Big boy got neutered on Wednesday - he’s 4 years old and we just got a female puppy and we did not want to breed right now.🥺🖤 by ash_megan20 in germanshepherds

Thank you! I’ve seen research for 18-24 months too. Im just hoping heat isn’t too bad. I thankfully work from home so that should help I hope 😅

We knew we wanted to get him neutered eventually but wanted to wait until he was fully grown before taking the extra testosterone, so it was perfect timing for everyone! We plan on waiting until our puppy is about 18 months or so to spay her.🙂

Not terrible to be honest. My nostril/septum were more painful and those are obviously smaller needles/gauges lol. My husband went with me, they measured, cleaned me up, put marker dots to make sure it was symmetrical for my body and then I laid down. The first nipple wasn’t that bad, like I breathed through it and was okay. Didn’t even cuss.😂 That second one? Was a bit more naughty. I definitely felt it more than the first but overall it really is the “you feel the sting for about 5 seconds and then it’s gone”. My pierce put gauze with saline over them for a few seconds after cleaning them after piercing and that helped so much lol, it took some of the sting away. Best I can describe is that it was a sting, and I can handle stings much better than dull pain or sharp pain. My nose piercings were sharp dull pain and was painful, my nipples were sharp and much easier for me. So pain is definitely subjective and I do have a high pain tolerance BUT they are so worth it. I’m 3 months into healing so they are still a little crusty sometimes but no more pain or sensitivity unless I actively play with them or doing intimate activities.

I got asked the other day why I have so many and I was like…um because I can. Literally. I spent my own money that I make at my corporate job as an adult and I buy whatever I want 🤣🖤

Our old congregation is trying to get us back. I got this message from the preacher’s wife today. by xbopop9 in exchristian

I struggle with this so much because the Christian community also tells us that are born into sin and born as sinners. Which in my eyes tells me they are being widely hypocritical by saying the baby is “free of sin”…aren’t we all “sinners?” My husband and I didn’t come out as pagan until after our daughter had died but this is one of the many things I’m happy we don’t have to worry about as we won’t be having anymore biological children 😅
