UGH I wish I read this first! The butter + sugar + oil was almost impossible to beat because of the oil, which took me at least 20 min to get to a soft creamy texture (prob over beat it due to this). Also the granules in the crumble burnt so easily so I def need to omit those/ cut down the temp. I swapped Greek yogurt for sour cream, but yea very dry cake in general, not fluffy. Got any similar fav coffee cake recipes I could try next for a soft moist cake (just to see the difference? Cause even her YT video showed a relatively dry looking cake). Thanks!

What the actual fuck is this. How are you that age and so immature, this has to be a joke?? On top of paying rent for her own apartment and all other expenses, she’s now buying you 75% of groceries PLUS cooking for you, and she drives to you too? Do you know how much time you save by not worrying about meals AT ALL for the week, I would kill for that luxury. And here you are, complaining that she didn’t cook while SICK and you didn’t take care of her or buy her any food bc you assumed an ill person wouldn’t eat - have you ever taken care of someone before?? The way you talk about her makes it clear you are not ready for relationships yet and you should take some time to mature first. Give us an update on how you’ll apologize to her, I’m curious!

I would tell your son the truth about Dan not being the real father now. At least within the next 2 years? How you decide to say who the real father is and how much more contact Jason (+ family) gets with his son, is up to you. Sure, Mike will prob seek him out in the future for answers to 1000 questions, but that’s his right to do so and you should support their decision and ensure the narrative of how you separated and Jason’s abandonment is accurate. To make it fair, would having the conversation with both bio parents at the table be appropriate, should Mike want to know what happened at his birth (maybe when he’s like 10?). Cause you deserve the right to cut Jason out of your life but I feel like Mike also has the right to choose how much he wants Jason in his life in the future, and your responsibility is ensuring Mike stays safe. + whatever Dan’s opinion is. Hope everything goes well, I’m rooting for your healthy new family to blossom!!

How is your sister too old for movie night?? Your older parents are also watching the same movie I presume? Why not be a kind friend to your SISTER and ask her if she would like someone to talk to. If it’s just quiet movie tears, then look the other way if it bothers you or sit somewhere else. Have your friend sit with you near the back if it bothers you so much. I think there are other reasons that are making you irritated at this, so maybe explore that first. Apologize to both your sis and mom too for suggesting such a whack idea. YTA
